Bethesda seems to dumb things down for profits, and obsidian jacks things up. what if they made skyrim?

Looking at Obsidians past games, I think they could have potential, or then again, maybe not. FoNV is by far their best game evah and the games before that were just a bit.. you know.

But, if Obsidian did something similar to Skyrim compared to Oblivion that they managed to do with FoNV compared to Fo3, then it might be a bit smaller game, focusing on one thing only, the main quest.

I prefered Fallout 3 to New Vegas. Obsidian got the gameplay right and the whole faction system, but Bethesda created a more memorable and interesting world. New vegas had more locations but they were often quite insignificant whereas Fallout 3 had unique and detailed locations (With some exceptions obviously).

Amazing story, cool side quests.


If they weren't given more than 2 years then it would be rather buggy.

I'd shoot myself in the foot and wave goodbye to the one freeform, exploration-based fantasy RPG series. I'll keep my dungeons and an invisible wall-free gameworld.
