What is one thing you hate about Skyrim?

Post » Sun Dec 11, 2011 1:14 pm

I have only a few issues with the game, but just minor. There is one thing though, and it is actually a GOOD thing. (what????)

You can never be "satisfied".
I usually play games about a session a day, if i am not busy. These are usually an hour to at most 2 hours. Every time i play skyrim, i look at the clock and see it has been 2 and a half hours. It felt like 20 minutes! Plus, I can barely accomplish anything in 2 hours, since the game is so awesome and beautiful that i just walk in happiness of the beauty. Plus fights get intense, and there is always something distracting me (most are dragons :o ).
So i absolutely LOVE te fact i always have something to do in the game, uet i hate it. Why is this game so damn amazing? :/

LoL! I know what you mean. My GF allows me a set amount of time to play each day and that time flys by with me getting little accomplished in the game. Like yourself I find myself glancing at the clock and cussing because 2 hours flew by when it only felt like 30 minutes.

Hmm, one thing I HATE?

The level scaling definitely.

Its better than it was in Oblivion, but its still bad.
IMO they should remove level scaling completely.

I cannot think of one thing I hate about this game. The only thing I've ever hated about a Bethesda game was cliffracers in Morrowind. God, I was tired of them.

I can't stay away from Whiterun Hold.

Sometimes I travel to Riften/Windhelm for a day, then I get tired and want the Whiterun countryside back... So yeah.
Almost 100 hours in and 95% of it spent around Whiterun.

Defiently the lack of the CK... its the reason why I have to [censored] about so many wrong/bad things in Skyrim.

How completely and utterly stupid helms look on beast races. Why couldn't they be bothered to design helms unique to them? This just further lends to the feeling that the only race they really cared about were Nords. That reminds me, Arcadia in Arcadia's Cauldron keeps saying "Maybe a hardy Nord like you doesn't need a cure-all." No, Arcadia, I'm not a Nord, I'm a Khajiit.

Well I rather not hate something that will likely be fixed in the near future.

I hate that your character never looks at anyone or anything, he's always staring off into space, as far as I can remember, in both Oblivion and Morrowind, your character always looked at nearby NPCs, especially when they were talking to you.
It's not a huge deal but I find it kind of strange.

It might be a bug, but I haven't seen anyone else notice it.

the fact i can beat the main quest in 35 minutes flat without cheats.

inb4 someone says do side quests, theres a billion of those. well thats not really a solution to a very short main story? if this was a linear game without side quests, it'd be the shortest game in existence.

but after oblivion i guess i didnt expect a long main quest. its like they spent 2 hours developing the main quest and then quit.

imo bethesda, spend more time on the main quest and not so much time on the other boring side quests with no depth.

Call of Duty in a big copy pasted world.

The fact they repackaged Oblivion with different lighting effects and resold 3.5 million copies
of it 6 years later.

I don't see how, you mean you can go from the opening cutscene, through every task, every battle and finish the final battle, all in 35 minutes.

Hah.

The cutting of things like spell creation mysticism acrobatics athletics and attributes for no reason. And that awful level scaling that is not neccesary for an open world game.
