What other games should I play?

Hello my dear community! I'm on a sick leave, so I figured it means I get to play more video games. Yay! Except when I went through my selection and found nothing worth playing... sad :( There's always Skyrim, but some change would be good.

So what games would you recommend? I'm especially looking for something I could fell love into. Something that lasts time and makes you feel like home. It does't have to be similar to TES games but I always love a good open world game. In the past I've also enjoyed city builders, strategy games and games with a good story in general.

There are some restriction though:

No multi-player games (unless you think it's really really good) - I guess I'm not very social.

Not the newest games - because they usually cost much and I don't have a very good computer. It handles Skyrim and games like Witcher 2 well enough, but not anything demanding.

Not too old games

I would really appreciate if people would be willing to help me out from this boredom.

Well looking at the reviews I'd say Dragon Age Inquisition. I know you said not the newest games, but if you can swing it, pick it up. It's supposedly even more massive than Skyrim.

There's Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. I haven't played it much though. If you can run Skyrim you can easily run it. It has some action fighting mechanics in it though. The thing I don't like is repeated button tapping events but Idk if that's very important in it.

For strategy there is Age of Wonders 3. I haven't played it yet but I liked Shadow Magic a lot.

Mount and Blade: Warband for more open-world; Mass Effect for more story oriented. Crusader Kings II or Europa Universalis, or Rome Total War I for strategy.

'Dat contribution.
