Nah, plenty of people are interested in the innovative ideas and discuss them. A lot of the time they decide that a certain idea wouldn't work well, but a lot of the time, it goes the other way.

They need to worry about implementing features that were in previous games, but have been taken out before they add in 1000 new requests that people want.

Why?

They tend to be removed for a reason.

I see a lot of people post "immersion" or "realism" requests. They say things break their immersion. I wonder if these people think they are actually in a game? If they do, maybe they shouldn't be playing video games. RPGs have always required a little imagination, which they always should require. I wish these people were transported back to the 70s. See how immersed they are when sitting in a basemant playing a P&P RPG, despite how much X friends basemant resembles a dank fantasy dungeon.

Why?

They tend to be removed for a reason.

Not really. As is evident from all the requests to bring stuff back. There's no reason to get rid of spears, or throwing weapons, or spellmaking (if it does end up being cut) etc. More is better.

I think people kinda lost track on the point of my thread. I'm not asking you what specifically you want, i'm just asking if you want an actual new game and better game (yes i mean better game because there are parts of the game that could really use a rework, namely the combat aspect the game) or just a remake of the older games with a new story and better graphics..

Then you have the people whose first RPG was Fable or some &*%^&$^ like that, who make demands for "additions" rather than improvements, i.e. guns/riding dragons, when for example if the development team was really to take a suggestion from this forum and try to develop it it they would be fools to pick something like that over lets say, an improved stealth system, magic system, various other core concepts that could actually improve the gameplay

why is everyone who presents new ideas always entitled as somebody who wasn't a hardcoe fan of the older series and only knows about new games? Is it so hard to understand that there are players who play TES games for as long as you did and still want new stuff to be implemented?

I honestly dont see the point in such realism, its as boring as reading a book about your own life.

What I really want is a transport-able bed roll. You could buy it from a merchant. With this, you wouldn't have to find a random bedroll or go back into town to sleep when adventuring. I know this can and will be modded in, but what about all of us console users?

Mainly, I trust BGS with Skyrim and to deliver yet another stellar experience.

Its not every single request, but some of the things posted around here make me think that they've never even played an ES game before. There nothing wrong with that, Im sure plenty of people who have never played an ES game will pick up Skyrim. But we shouldn't appeal to them, they should appeal to us. In that they should pick up Skyrim for what it is, not making Skyrim into what they may think it is, or they want it to be.

More is not better. Quality over quantity.

Spears should be more than extended swords, throwing weapons should be more than dart guns, spellmaking should work with the new spells system. If they couldn't implement them properly they would rather cut it out entirely than leaving a half-assed work.

Beth is capable of quality and quantity. Id rather have things that were in previous games back that were awesome opposed to some silly new request like Helmet mode, or the ability to see my breath when I breath in the cold. More is almost always better. Peoples biggest complaint about Oblivion was all the content they lost from Morrowind to Oblivion. If, god forbid, Skyrim was even more 'streamlined' than Oblivion, there will be hell to pay. People wont be praising X new feature, they'll be screaming about X things we lost. If we had half the things that were in previous titles that were out now, we'd have the best ES ever and almost nobody would complain. Not to mention there was nothing wrong with the things they got rid of in the first place.

But the ability to see your breath in the cold adds realism and immersion.....

Haha back again with the immersion, i am sure adding cold breath just made the game so amazing. Seriously you would see that and say, wow thats cool. But if you take away the ability of magic because it just wasn't "Immersive" enough would have a bigger and worse effect, so its not always better. There can be an extent.
