Post » Wed Feb 05, 2014 9:31 am

We all knows there's a mudcrab pet and a vanity pet,

but what pet would you like to see?

Personally I would like to see, a Dog Pet, and also I would like a little toad or frog pet.

What do you guys want to see im interested.

Please say what you think would be awesome!

I loved collecting the mini pets in Guild Wars, so would like to see NPC,s monsters and bosses being a mini pet sooner or later :)

I would be happy forever. Especially if they make the cute noise and thump their butts on the ground like in-game.

The Mudcrab and the Scuttler are both vanity pets. Personally, I don't care for them. They are outright annoying. Especially, when everyone around has one.

I would prefer there weren't any pets, at least vanity ones, in TESO at all. I personally think that they have no place in any TES game, online or not.

On the other hand, a good companion like Dogmeat in Fallout 3 would be cool I suppose.

Imp would be cute. A Hell Hound sounds like a basic popular vote pet they'd bring out. Tons of animals to work with in the Elder Scrolls bestiary.

Morrowind has plenty of NPC's who had pets. You could even get your own pack rats and scrib in the expansion, Tribunal.

There was a particular dunmer woman who had pet rats in her basemant in Oblivion too.

I'd probably want a pack guar like I mentioned above. Maybe he could hold extra stuff that I can't.

I found one of them in the bestiary - called a Horker (has little flippers and everything).

Skyrim had a lot of pets, like Lydia, Faendal, and Kharjo. I wouldn't mind more pets like them assuming we had a silence option.

I think I vaguely remember that Oblivion woman. Can't quite picture it anymore tho.

But what I ment is, those sort of pets you see all over the place in a game like GW2. Just floating behind people, or crawling and walking after them. Wouldn't want to see that in TESO.

If it are pets, like for example Dogmeat, who can be treated as a true companion: I'd be all for that. If there are extra perks to having a pet with you other then it just being decorative.

And a family in Chorrol with dogs. And Skyrim has dogs as followers.

But a pet mudcrab that follows you around everywhere is strange.

I see where you're coming from and I agree. Pets with no depth are no different than any other MMO.

I really hope we are able to right click rename our pets to something personal, really don't like running around with a pet named "Mudcrab" like the next 100000 people.

That's exactly what I ment in my first post. Doesn't really belong in TES in my opinion. Although I think that's probably the way they're going to do things, considering the free vanity pets they've given to people who pre-order.

Just add a few vanity pets each month, make people pay extra for them and start counting the money. I would really dislike seeing all these little pets following people around the whole time.
