Xbox 360. Never been a fan of the PC for games, probably because of the fragility of computers nowadays.

Yeah, because 360's are known to be SOOOO reliable...

Really?

When a computer piece fails, you must only change that piece, and you're good to go.

When a 360 fails, you've to throw it a the trash can. Or at Tech support, which is mainly the same.

But oh well, if you're happy thinking that....be my guest

I chose xbox. My system could easily handle it, but I enjoy having the controller in my hands and sitting back, becoming immersed.

Yep I agree. That's why I choose to play on xbox. I can sit my butt down on the sopha (with my beverage of choice) and with a controller that I am used to, and play for hours on a large TV. Don't get me wrong. I know the advantages of playing on a PC, but the xbox set up is more comfortable for me, and puts me in the mood to explore.

Pcs are prone to outside bugs and alot more technical faults than a console. I had a 360 for 6 years with no problems whatsoever. In those 6 years ive been through 2 computers and 4 laptops. I rest my case.

Collector's Edition for the Xbox 360, because I know for certain it will work. If my PC can handle it, and there is no sign of Steam, I may get the GOTY when it gets cheap.

i'll get it and beat it on the 360. then i'll get the game of the year pc version of skyrim and start modding and making models for it. will give me time to upgrade my system a bit.

Pretty much the same so that way you have time to get a better graphics card and upgrade it a bit more :tops:

Had so many PC's in my life I can't remember them all. My last PC was 3 year old and never gave me any problem. This one is 2 (close to 3), and the same. And that with an unprotected Windows XP Pro admin account.

If you are smart enough not to install every 3rd-party crap you may be offered to be installed, and keep Windows and your drivers updated, I don't see why you would have any problem.

What did you do to those poor machines?

Maybe you should stick to consoles...

It depends on how you look at it. Consoles are primarily designed to do one thing only.....play games. Sure they have extra features, such as acting as media clients, but their main goal is to play games. They usually do that pretty well. But there are only a few models of the console.

Computers on the other hand, they are designed to do so much more then just games. When you are talking about computers outside of a corporation or any business that uses imaged based installations, every computer is different. If it is the same in hardware, then it is different in software configuration. I have gone through 3 Xbox premium consoles and am on my 1st Xbox S model. But I have had a computer for about 5 years that has worked perfectly. (A yearly re-installation of Windows helps just keep things running fine)

I just used them. Sooner or later viruses take their toll, even if you have virus protection they still find a way in to your computer in the end <_<

I see 3 potential options
1) Safe mode+virus scanner
2) Do a clean installation of Windows (really it doesnt take that long, about an hour the first time, make an image of that and then place it on a backup drive)
3) Linux

I mean really, just viruses are not a reason to get an entire new PC.

Viruses don't damage hardware, only software - and even in a worst case scenario reinstalling your OS will completely eradicate any viruses. And no, they won't "sooner or later", I haven't had a virus in... oh, probably 5 or 6 years, simply by using common sense(!)

Yes, with stupidity you can damage a PC, wheras it's much harder to damage a console - why is not promoting ignorance a bad thing?

I haven't had a computer failure for probably about 12 years, now, I still have a 6 year old PC that's functioning perfectly fine, and I don't know anybody who hasn't had their xbox fail on them at least once, and while the newer models are better, the older model's failure rate was rediculously high. Consoles use the cheapest parts they can find, wheras you can buy some decent bits for your PC that won't fail at the drop of a hat.

I wanted to vote the xbox because I'm not sure if my PC can handle it, but I will definitely get it for the PC eventually for the mods and superior graphics. I also hate using WASD to play games. I tried a few time getting a PC controller and even a 360 controller to play Oblivion, but I failed miserably.

Depends on how much disposable income I have after all the great games that are coming out burn my reserves. I would love to be able to get it on PC, with a rig that can really handle the game well (I don't generally even partake in mods, at least not for some months down the line) but for some reason, the experience of these kinds of games just don't translate as well to Console. I also heard troubling rumors about the supposed DRM this will use, which might break my will no matter how awesome a PC I get.

Everyone is entitled to play the game on whatever they want but... I can't help but think that if you played it on anything but a PC you'd be doing it a disservice

Not everyone has a decent computer and if it was a disservice why did bethesda put it on 360, and PS3? Just because it has mod support and more graphic controls doesn't make it much of a difference to a console version.
Gotta play on what ya have

See here is my situation I like playing on my Xbox better than my PC simply because the controller feels more natural in my hands although I might get it for my PC too if I see some mods I really want
