What platform are you getting Skyrim on?

PC if I don't need steam for my hard copy, otherwise Xbox.

I really want to mod things again...

I also hate using WASD to play games. I tried a few time getting a PC controller and even a 360 controller to play Oblivion, but I failed miserably.

You can configure PC game controls, you know...I've never used WASD in my life (keyboard arrows rulz).

I just used them. Sooner or later viruses take their toll, even if you have virus protection they still find a way in to your computer in the end <_<

Really? I've never had a virus on any of my computers. Even if I did, a fresh install of Windows fixes everything.

I'm not sure why you bought six computers.

PC all the way, i can't name one reason to play it on anything else (assuming you have a PC). Even if you have a PC that can barely run it, it would still be preferable just for the sake of mods.

Consoles are the poor-man's computer. Computers have better processing speeds than the PS3, and a more powerful ability to Emmit graphics than the 360.

Yes a clean windows reinstall removes any viruses (you might have some infected programs so run a virus scan before starting them).

1.5 years ago I had a serious virus infection, Installed windows 2008 server on a disk, OS did not find network card and I had to add it later, for some reason the firewall was not activated on the card and I did not install antivirus at once as I had to get it from work, (servers demand special antivirus) in that time I got multiple viruses who also infected my xp harddrive.
Win xp continued to have problems so I installed win 7.
Win 7 did not run Fallout 3 and Oblivion for some reason, so I put my old core2 system in a new case and sold it, bought a six core amd processor, 8GB ram, a ssd disk and a ati 5770.
Upside is that my system should be Skyrim ready.

I was going to vote, but not the way it's worded. It's to one sided.. I suggest change it before the thread gets locked. I wanted to vote 360, for personal reasons. I do not want to vote 360 because it gets DLC before PS3 or PC. This will start a :flamethrower: war.

But I will be buying for the 360.
This.

You should redo the poll.

I'll be getting it for xbox, Ive been through 5 xboxs in the past few years, and am on the newest model.
Which isnt a problem for me, but having to reupgrade my computer every few months to be able to handle the
next biggest thing is to costly. Personally, mods dont mean that much to me, and the graphics in the
gameplay video show that the xbox graphics are just fine.

Most people wont be getting it for xbox because of the DLC comes first, yeah its a plus, but we'll be getting
it because of the immersiveness that a controller brings, the long term investment a xbox brings, and the
graphics it can handle.

A 6 year old card, the 8800, is only just starting to be a borderline card. A halfway modern card will play any game at high/max settings, and likely will continue to do so until next console generation. Hell, I get accused of PC elitism, but at least I do my research.

Thats some good info.
I'll still be playing it on xbox.
Yeah, mods are cool, and better graphics are a plus.
But People on Xbox Just Want To Play the Game.
Not much Else.

That's fine, it's just video games, people can play on what they like - however, in the same way I wouldn't say things that simply weren't true about consoles, you should do the same, if only to save face :)

Well, my point was that it's not an opinion, it's untrue. A midrange card from the past few years will likely run every game on max, a high end card from 6 years ago is only just starting to be the minimum required for very high end games, and plays the vast majority of games on high settings. If what you had said was an opinion, that'd be fine - but it's not, it's an objectively false statement.

I don't understand your point, you still wouldn't have to upgrade "every few months". I don't know why you're trying to defend a proven false statement, it's *wrong*, accept that.

Look guy, my point is, I made an opinion, to a very biased poll, you claimed it false,
tried to be cool by throwing out a bunch of technical terms, and wont just drop it.

Your entitled your opinion, about my opinion. If you want to have the newest, best
computer. You have to upgrade your computer every few months, with the speed that
technology is advancing.
Thats not untrue. So settle down.

That's true. Every month even.

But only two kind of people do that:

1) Enthusiasts who can afford it and that for them technology is a passion (which is nothing wrong with that).

2) Idiots.

Normal people looks for the best price/quality ratio, and waits a respectable amount of time for that "new tech" to have decent prices (technically becoming "old tech" in the process, but totally able to run any kind of game avaliable).

Except it *is* untrue. This isn't an opinion, it is objectively untrue.

Whether you define need as "what is required to play the game at 30fps at all" or "what is required to play the game at 2560x1600 at 120fps with everything on max", it is utterly untrue, system requirements have not significantly increased in years, and 6 year old cards can still play modern games absolutely fine. There aren't even new generations of cards coming out "every few months", so your hypothetical situation doesn't even *have* an upgrade path. You don't need to upgrade every few months, you actually *can't* upgrade every few months. What you are saying is not an opinion, what I am saying are not "a few technical terms" (Is that the phrase meaning "Somebody who actually knows what they're talking about proved me wrong" these days?), you are spouting FUD. What you are saying is the equivilent of me saying: Playing on the 360 is so expensive because you have to keep buying the games because it scratches the disk, and then it'll RROD every few months so you have to buy a new one. It's objectively, and statistically, untrue.
