What platform are you going to play on?

Post » Thu Nov 26, 2015 1:23 pm

Well, let's see.

PC? Dump hundreds of dollars and too much time upgrading the PC. Get frustrated and punch people because I have to upgrade the thing again. AGAIN! Get to play Fallout 4 maybe two weeks after it launches.

Xbox One? Digital download either overnight or preload. Play immediately on day one with no additional layout of cash or time.

Yeah, I'll go with Xbox One.

I get your point of view but people continually make this mistake. PCs are not games consoles. It's like comparing a tent to a house. Yea you can sleep in both, but a house has lots more features and uses.

PC of course.

The console versions will have hundreds of bugs that will remain unfixed and the amount of new content will end with the last DLC. In comparison, the PC version will be the most bug-free and will enjoy a virtually unlimited amount of content. It's not even a choice, really.

I'll be getting it on the PS4. Whether or not I'll mod it will be up in air, depending on the situation at the time. First playthrough will be pure though.

That's not true I'm sure Nintendo likes it

OT:

Fallout 4 would melt my laptop, so PS4 it shall be.

PC, and if I did have a console I'd still get it on PC because I'm no good with controllers. I need the precision and speed of a mouse.

And mods.

I'd skip on Steam Machines. They're basically just fancy pre-built pcs like what you'd get from Dell or HP (which always cost more than building your own and/or don't have a good overall hardware choice). I'd say pick PC because personally I like having a close up monitor and headphones for the best game experience. And you already have one so I think it's easier to just upgrade.

Well at the moment I have the 360 and a laptop that lags when I play Limbo so I'm going to need to upgrade at some point.

I'll probably just get the Xbox One and start from there. At some point in the future I'll get a new PC and then hopefully buy it on Steam as well.

Same here once Fallout 4 GOTY / Ultimate Edition comes out. Unless I get a new PC beforehand.

Don't believe my laptop can handle Fallout 4.

So PS4 or XB1, which ever performs better.

PC.

I don't have a PS4 or Xbox One. I already fell into the console trap once before and spent god knows how much on a ps3 and building up a massive games collection which I never touch anymore so I won't be making that mistake again. Anyway, playing Bethesda games always really svcked on consoles, Fallout 4 will surely be no different. Plus, mods give (Bethesda) games a hell of a lot longer lifespan; like, many extra years of further enjoyment...

Ps4, then later, pc. I always buy them on console first because it forces me to play the game as intended. On pc there are too many distractions what with modding and console commands. I end up messing about with the game more than actually playing the game.

Same, the Xbox One keeps looking better to me with time. I'm waiting until E3 to see MS' new IP, and Rareware's new game to be sure though.

PC, of course. Haven't owned a console since the PSX. Plus, I recently built my own gaming PC (not specifically for any game, just because my old one died) so that's what it's for. I just have to get a better video card as the one I have I found out later is a piece of crap. One game in particular likes to make my driver crash and I'm just sick of it and it's petty little problems and want something better now that I can afford something better :)

As said before, I'm not sure I trust my XB1's capability of holding onto its wifi connection (the thing the console needs to even start up apparently) and I'm not even sure if my PC can even run the game, so PS4 for me.

EDIT:
Wait, apparently I said the exact opposite earlier. Well then, I recant that statement.

I have a gaming PC and a Xbox One, and I can honestly say the console version of AAA games runs a lot better. i.e not as many bugs, glitches and technical frustrations. One thing I would never play on consoles is MMORPGs, but since Fallout 4 will mostly likely NOT be a MMORPG, Xbox One is my choice of platform here. The Xbox One at it's price; you really do get decent hardware, considering you do not have to purchase individual parts to build your own PC then well, build it. Most games run at high settings, and while the FPS could be better, and resolution, the games will not randomly crash (from my experience) and because of certification processes, surely most of the bugs will be fixed in a few weeks. ~rant over~

I will either A: Purchase it for PC if I can run it or B: Sit and stare salivating at the steam store page.

I voted Xbox One, but that could change depending on what system it looks better on. Since I don't currently have either system, whichever version gets the best add ons and extras will get my money. If they get the same things, then I will likely stick to Xbox since I already have an Xbox live account.
