What platform should I play on for Multiplayer??

Post » Wed Oct 13, 2010 9:33 am

Hey I own a Xbox 360 and have recently built a computer, I want to buy this game on PC instead of Xbox for the graphics but I have heard a lot of issues on MP for PC like cheaters already using hacks including aimbot, people can’t connect to servers, stats aren’t? been tracked so they lose unlocks, pirate copies can play MP and people locked out of their accounts. I’m starting to think console might be the way to go for multiplayer. is it still worth buying for the PC and waiting for fixes?.

Whats finding a match and lag like for PC and Xbox?

Any suggestions on wether to stay with or stay away from PC will help me allot.

Cheers!!

I don't have a PS3, so I don't know what kind of lag you'll run into, but for the Xbox, as long as you have a wired connection you'll do fine. PC version may or may not have hacker problems, so it's best to avoid the PC MP.

Xbox360.

I own PC version. Hackers crawling everywhere man.
And PS3 graphics are toned down a little(that's majority of the games btw). To fit 30FPS.

Almost always buy games for X360 unless it's like platform-exclusive game.

PC:pros= better graphics/performance
PC:Cons= HACKERS

XBOX:pros= decent performance
XBOX:Cons= PAY TO PLAY?

PS3:pros= FREE TO PLAY
PS3:Cons= slightly worse performance then 360?

Thanks for the reply guys, sounds like consoles the way to go to avoid hackers, such a shame for PC gamers, wonder how long it will take to fix these problems.

I have PC and I voted for x360 (PS3 would be fine too). You know, no cheaters, matchmaking and fully working multi from the release. Dedicated servers arent really worth it just for the ping. I haven't seen yet a single server with modified rotation or extended round times/scores.

I'd say go with 360 but I wouldn't pay for xbox live. You seem not to have a problem with that so go far it.

I'd go for the PC version personally.
All of the versions have cheaters already, its quite sad. Lets just hope they get kicked.

Yea built it end of last year and have played quite a few games on it new and old including Crysis/ Crysis Warhead and I plan to buy more games for PC in the future (can’t wait for Diablo 3) so it hasn’t been a waste of time and money. I love FPS multiplayer (Xbox and PC), would be a no brainer if PC didn’t have so many MP issues but since it does and I’ve got another platform to choose from I’m going to take my time and try to decide wisely before paying cash.

Single player will be a better experience for PC, probably wait a few weeks and see if any issues are resolved.

It’s good to hear your guy’s thoughts and experiences, keep it up!!

I don't get it, I'm level 17 and I think I've seen just 1 cheater so far, and I'm not even sure, you guys are a bit exageratted. If you see something very obvious just change server until we get some more security.

I have only played a few multiplayer games so far on PC, but I haven't noticed any hackers...I know they are out there, but I don't know if it the problem is rampant. But then again this is my first PC FPS in quite a while so I just may not know any better

Sounds like if theres a hacker in your game you would know for sure, good to hear not everyone is affected.
