Yeah, that's what I'm saying. You can control that with a keyboard, if you adjust your controls enough and are willing to sacrifice your thumb. You can't on a gamepad, because you'd have to choose between either looking around and walking, walking or aiming, or looking around or aiming, specifically because you control the arms separately from the body.

The fact that it's insanely difficult and completely pointless is another (though related) story all together.

indeed lunar, but the feeling of control is still less with a controller due to the enforced delay of 'i want to look here' and actually looking there. Turn around on the spot. How long does it take you? It sure doesn't take nearly a second!

Both aren't perfect, but the mouse allows you to feel less confined.

Let's put this in this way, take team with K+M vs. team with pad's and you will see how pad users will get screwed :D Simply because K+M give you more precise control and ability to execute actions faster. Ofc. if someone like Pad over K+M then good for him ^^

That, and PC gaming is FAR more expensive than console gaming, for relatively little advantage (aesthetics)

Proof? (trick question, as gaming costs about the same irrelevant of platform, if anything PC gaming is cheaper on the whole due to a) steam and b) not needing a separate PC.)

'Gaming' PCs will often cost more than any console, if you want to be able to play with the aesthetic advantage. This, along with the fact that many PC gamers continue to upgrade their machines relatively regularly as game tech increases, means that, despite PC games being cheaper, the PC platform ends up costing more.

If you're not using a high-end machine, then there's little point in gaming on the PC.

Talking about which controller option is better is pointless. Console players will say that controller is better (They can't choose, so they defend his only option.) The fact is... yo can use whatever you want on PC, even the console gamepads. In consoles, you can only use the official console gamepad. (Well, there's some mouse inventions. Reliability issues, input lag... But even with those issues, welll, just check it out in Youtube)

Wrong with the PS3 you can hook-up a Keyboard & mouse or just play with the game pad. Also there are alot of Pro gamers using Pads over Keyboard & Mouse.
