360... as I have stated in other threads on these forums, I don't need mods or console commands, just my "worlds most comfortable couch " and massive flat screen TV

Assuming my computer runs it (I really hope it will - it was a gaming computer bought 2 years ago but still plays most things at a very high graphic level) I will play on PC. If I can't upgrade my graphics card I'll play on 360 til I can get a new computer. :)

Been a PC user/gamer since 1993 and have no intentions of buying/owning 360/PS3.

What, is it the time for obligatory daily "platform poll" again? It seams we have to have one of thees and at last one "favorite race" poll or the day is considered waisted :D
PC, mods, as usual.

[quote name='Davor' timestamp='1295443382' post='17019319']. Even if I did, I would still get it for console just because I like playing
on the console. [quote]

Now thats simply illogical; since you can plug a controller into your computer and your computer into a TV. Also think of mods as Unlimited dlc which five years down the road will still be delivering AMAZING (and free) content for you to enjoy.

Definitely PC. I'd never get a Bethesda game on a console ever again.

PC.

I don't have a console, and I see no reason to buy one.
If I want to play with a controller on the large plasma TV, I'll just plug it all in my PC. From the PC I'll be able to play the game in 1080p, a console can't handle that.

...but usually I just sit in my bedroom in front of the monitor, using a keyboard and mouse. Will probably do that with Skyrim.

I voted PS3. I'm a long time gamer, although I've only just got into a job where I have lots of potential cash to spare (I'm 20). I'd like to get a PC and start going down the mods route, but I'm just not sure I can justify spending £500-£1000 on a PC when all I really play anymore is TES. Most games really don't interest me, and of the ones that do they're multi-platform. Given that the only thing I need a PC for is music management and a bit of Internet browsing/shopping it just seems like a waste of money when the equipment I've got "does the job". I don't know, I know TESV will be amazing, and the mod support will extend the games life a lot, plus the overall options are more plentiful with the PC, but it's a lot of money for just one game, no matter how amazing it is.

PC of course, because I'd rather have one machine for all my stuff (Internet, communication, digital art, music, movies, gaming, etc.) than spend my bucks on seperate ones I don't use as frequently.
However, I'll use a 360 controller to play. At least I won't have to cry if they don't adjust the UI for PC. :)

yea my laptop will chit bricks if i try to play Oblivion on it so im thinking Skyrim is out of the question... and like somebody just said im not spending $1000+ on a gaming PC for one game... The PS3 handled Oblivion just fine and Beth only had a couple months to figure out coding on the PS3 before they had to launch Oblivion so with 5 years i think the kinks will be worked out... now if somebody decides to buy me a sweet gaming PC then of course ill pick up Skyrim for PC to try out mods (which i have never done yet)

and for the guy that said theyed rather have 1 machine to do all their stuff... well ps3 $300 + my laptop $400 = $700

gaming PC that will play skyrim better than a PS3 or 360 at least $1000 (basing this off of alienware aurora base model)

PC. I have never liked gamepads (find them fiddly, although that's probably jut a matter of what you're used to), and would rather sit closer to a smaller screen when playing RPGs... makes it easier to shut out the rest of the world. PCs are a bit expensive compared to consoles, and I totally understand those who prefer their games to just run problem-free without fiddling with all kinds of settings, but I kind of enjoy that stuff.

Anyway, there were a number of design choices in Oblivion that really killed the game for me personally. Luckily it didn't take long for player-made mods to sort out the issues, allowing me to fully enjoy the wonderful world that Behesda created. So PC is the only option that makes sense for me, being a grumpy old man.

Actually, this question is something I've been asking myself ever since I found out it would be available on both Xbox 360 and PS3. I played Morrowind and Oblivion on my Xbox 360, but I just recently bought a PS3, too. I'm really torn as to which would be the better platform. Here are my struggles:

1. My 360 is not connected to the Internet (I've canceled my Live account and removed the wireless access point), so if there is downloadable content will I miss out on it completely or have to wait for the GOTY edition?

2. Will the game be choppy/buggy if played on PS3? I do have the PS3 connected to my network, so I would be able to take advantage of downloadable content (even if it's released after the Xbox 360 version), but I have heard that in the past the Elder Scrolls games have been developed for Microsoft platforms and then ported to Playstation, and graphics and gameplay have suffered. If this isn't the case with Skyrim I'd love to play it on PS3 so I could take advantage of downloadable content and tracking progress/achievements online.

What do you guys think?

PC, nothing like it.

I have absolutely no love for game stations of any kind. They remind me of Mario Bros game types too much =/. And there's the mod thing, of course.

PC.
I like mods.
I like easy fixes.
I like being close to my screen.
I like being closer to the sound of the game, and thus able to hear it better.(Don't have surround sound for my TV)
Actually... What's not to like?

i honestly think it will be fine on the PS3 the reason they ported Oblivion to the PS3 was time... the PS3 game out 8 months after Oblivion was released on the PC and 360 and the ps3 had completely new and (perceived) difficult hardware to code for, which i dont think Bethsedia ever said that and i think they would ahve coded it for the PS3 if they had time, which now they have had 5 years....and hopefully there arent any console game coders on here but the notion that the ps3 was harder to code for was total crap it wasnt hard it was just different and people didnt want to learn how.. fast forward a couple years have you seen games like assassins creed on the PS3 looks just as good as the 360 version... and to date the best game ive ever seen was the uncharted games (PS3 exclusives)

Xbox 360. May pick up the PC version later on as I know without a doubt my PC can handle it.
But as far as mods, with all my PC games I only use them on Warcraft 3, and Homeworld 2.
And as for graphics? Hah, my favorite games are still in the world of block-models.
