What platform will you use?

Post » Thu Apr 14, 2011 12:00 pm

PC.
I like mods.
I like easy fixes.
I like being close to my screen.
I like being closer to the sound of the game, and thus able to hear it better.(Don't have surround sound for my TV)
Actually... What's not to like?

Not to mention getting screenshots of said game and then posting them on Facebook or upload them to Photobucket etc.

i honestly think it will be fine on the PS3 the reason they ported Oblivion to the PS3 was time... the PS3 game out 8 months after Oblivion was released on the PC and 360 and the ps3 had completely new and (perceived) difficult hardware to code for, which i dont think Bethsedia ever said that and i think they would ahve coded it for the PS3 if they had time, which now they have had 5 years....and hopefully there arent any console game coders on here but the notion that the ps3 was harder to code for was total crap it wasnt hard it was just different and people didnt want to learn how.. fast forward a couple years have you seen games like assassins creed on the PS3 looks just as good as the 360 version... and to date the best game ive ever seen was the uncharted games (PS3 exclusives)

Thank you so much for your insight. I really would prefer to use it on the PS3 so I hope you are correct in that the graphics are not compromised! :)

Everything's already been said, but yeah PC. Its been that way since Morrowind.
For Mods, support(unofficial and official), INI edits, control scheme, closer screen and speakers. I can play in the privacy of my room, with lights out and door shut to totally immerse myself.

Unless I magically obtain a PC that can run Skyrim before November 11th, I'll have to do all of my questing on the Xbox 360.

You say that as though you cannot take screenshots of console versions with ease using a capture card. Of which HD variants are relatively cheap. And for someone who frequently streams gameplay like myself, they should be readily available.

It's funny a lot of normally console gamers at my work are getting computers JUST For this game and the mods. Seriously JUST THIS GAME, and the old republic.

PC. Because i have options. If i want to play in front of my 23 inch HD monitor at 1900x1080, i can. If i want to hook it up to my 46 inch LCD HD TV at 1080p, i can. Plus, mods extend a games life. I'm still playing Morrowind because of all the great quest mods that are available.

Well i don't really know yet. I'm tempted to buy the PC version even though i am mostly a console gamer but it will definitely depends on whatever the game will require Steam or not and if not, how bad the DRM is.

PC Version. Going to buy a brand new highly expensive laptop basically just for Skyrim. What an expensive game this is going to be.

Ive been craving the PC version since I got on here and was looking at the range of mods. *moans*

Xbox 360. Been playing Morrowind on the pc lately found I much prefere using the xbox controller than keyboard and mouse, seems alot more natural and less awkward.
Also my pc can just about manage Morrowind, so I dont think there's much chance of Skyrim working on it. :(

PC.
I would never play a ES game on Console.

You should try it i think you would be suprised.

I will be playing on X360... My loyal companion. When you think i could buy a 360 now for under £100, and the game for £40 - 45, i dont see the need to spend £xxxxxx on a gaming rig just so the blaa blaa texture blaa blaa AA blaa blaa mods blaa blaa is better. What does that even mean??? Thats how not bothered i am about all that, so for me 360!
