Trying to get an overview on the most used/liked game play recording programs and the settings The Cry 2 community uses. Please post up!
I hope this isn't a rerun.

I would use Mirillis action if I had a second generation or higher intel processor, but I don't so I use Fraps for lossless recording!

Fraps wouldn't record well for me so I used Mirillis Action! and it worked better for me. Seemed to not use as much resources and didn't reduce FPS as much.

If you're looking at raw uncompressed capture Fraps does the job quite nicely as long as you are recording to a separate drive than which your game is installed on.
Afterburner is also alright, provides basic on-the-fly compression and gamma correction, fairly simple to use.

I tried Mirilis but honestly I found it a bit confusing to use at first. It has a hell of a lot more features than Fraps and many things you can fiddle around with. I probably may get bashed by people who figured out everything right away, but personally I went back to Fraps.

I use PlayClaw because it's the only one that gives me playable framerates and no audio/video sync problems, but I don't use it much because I have to record and play at low quality and it's not very worth the effort (I have an Intel Core 2 Quad Q8400@3.2 GHz, Radeon 5770, only 1 HDD).
