If you're looking at raw uncompressed capture Fraps does the job quite nicely as long as you are recording to a separate drive than which your game is installed on.
Afterburner is also alright, provides basic on-the-fly compression and gamma correction, fairly simple to use.
I tried Mirilis but honestly I found it a bit confusing to use at first. It has a hell of a lot more features than Fraps and many things you can fiddle around with. I probably may get bashed by people who figured out everything right away, but personally I went back to Fraps.
