What Province did you want TES V to be in before you knew it

Post » Thu Apr 07, 2011 5:45 pm

Skyrim.
I don't think we'll ever see a TES game based around Elsewyr, Valenwood or Black March as those provinces are probably too alien for the main audience.

Valenwood and Elsweyr at very least seem like more familiar territory for gamers than Morrowind, which was just about the most alien place imaginable, and not too immediately inviting either (lots of grey).

I'm happy it's in Skyrim, but Black Marsh would have been interesting (jungle/wetlands always makes for an awesome setting).

Valenwood was what I was hoping for.
Oddly enough, I rarely play as Bosmer.

I just really think their culture would be interesting to experience, especially the cannibalism part. I'm sure that'd just get boiled down to one obscure, unimportant, passable side-quest, but it'd still be nice to see it.
Not to mention, I'm sure their tree-villages and such would be pretty damned snazzy.

My heart beats in Elsweyr... but the adventurer in me wants to see Black marsh so badly... just gimme one of those and I'll be happy. Not that I'm not happy with Skyrim

Elsweyr or Summerset. Ideally the former, like the setting that is presented. Though, I don't mind Skyrim. Still very hyped in any case, haha.

Skyrim is best, but my other choices would be High Rock and Summerset Isles.

Elsewyr would be so awesome, but I guess its for the best that we'll have to wait for this one ;) !

I guess that Black Marsh will be the last game in the series, seing how the nation now encompasses all of the old mainland Morrowind now. Needs to be huge!

I would love to see Valenwood or Summerset Isle. However, I'm happy with Skyrim. Really didn't have a preference or favorite. I do hope that Valenwood is next for TES VI though.

I'm happy that it's going to be in Skyrim, and have thought it would be there ever since I saw those Skyrim copyrights/patents whatever it's termed as...But before that, I had hoped it might be in Summerset Isle.

All the provinces have good premises to be unique and interesting but I really want to see Black Marsh. The stranger the landscape, the better for me.

Summerset Isle was my first choice, but Skyrim is just as good.

I've wanted to see Skyrim ever since the Bloodmoon expansion back in '03

So yea, I am quite happy with this. I may be slightly biased considering where on I live, but meh, I like snow ^^;

Elsweyr. I hate Nords, and I love Khajiits. Skyrim's still going to be awesome, though.

Actually, Skyrim was the province i wanted to see the most so i am perfectly happy. I admit i was starting to think that it might be better to save Skyrim for later in the months up to the announcement since i would have prefered to see the province in next gen graphic but overall, i can't really complain. I wanted Skyrim and i got it. Still, it's not like i would have cried like a baby if it had been Summerset Isle, Elsweyr, Hammerfell etc. Valenwood is the only province i don't really have very much desire to see... well that and then Morrowind Mainland.

I always wanted to see Summerset Isle, Skyrim is the absolutely last choice I would have preferred - not only it's another human province (and since Oblivion I'm very disappointed in them) but it's although my least favorite type of climate - I live in the northern country as it is, I don't want to see more snowy cold on my screen. But I'm making an effort to get used to the idea and find things that I like about Skyrim in lore. I can still guarantee that given half a chance I'll be sticking around the warmer part for as much of the game as I possibly can :)

Honestly, I had no preference. I just wanted a new game.

I suppose Skyrim was probably my first choice. Or maybe it was Summerset.

Black Mash, Elsweyr, Valenwood... meh, never really appealed to me.

Hammerfell, High Rock, Morrowind, Cyrodiil have all already been done, so I didn't want to go back.

The Black Marsh, hands down. Because of its fantastic habitants, because of its lush vegetation and poisonous air. Because there the natural hazards can be a part of the whole gameplay. In Black Marsh I would expect a less 'epic', but more 'mistery solving', culture driven adventure. I like to explore dangerous places and of all provinces, The Black Marsh is it.
