I dont have a clue about which race to play with my sorcerer.

Altmer have the 4% bonus damage to fire, shock, frost.

Imperials have a whooping 12% life and 10% stamina + their red diamond abilty may be usable with overload.

Khajitts have carnage which im not sure works on spellcrits, but if it does khajitts clearly beat out the rest in terms of damage.

Most all of them will benefit you in some way. I think the Khajit thing only works with melee attacks and bows. You should narrow your selection down to a few certain races and pick the one you want to play as from that group. My group is Orc, Redguard, and Imperial and I will make that final decision based on lore and aesthetics soon.

I'd be looking at Breton and Altmer racials. Altmer get magicka regen, bonus to magicka pool and bonus to damage with destruction staff. Breton get reduced magikca cost, bonus to magicka pool and spell resistance (maybe more for pvp?).

I myself go according to racials always, but I'm a perfectionist when it comes to gaming. I'll still be level 25 when everybody else is 50, and i have 5 days early access. I'm a slow poke, but that's how i like it. Depends on what you want though, i wouldn't base your choice off of what everybody else tells you, because you will find yourself creating another character alt sooner rather than later. Take a break from thinking about what race you want for a day or so, and then go back to it, give your mind time to forget about it, then choose.
