I think I will go with Nord on my first character at least. No, I'm not gonna play as a Barbarian: I'm Crusader all the way.

Glad I'm not a Redguard.... Looking at these poll results, you'd think it was Hammerfell that got blown away by the Ministry of Truth.

I'll probably play a male Dunmer first. Then given that the setting is Skyrim I am really tempted to make a female Nord as my next character.

I want to make a dark elf named Lucifer like my morrowind main if they make their facial features more cut and elven like again, oblivion's elven face features were one of the few problems with the game for me. I will definitely make an argonian male as my main for skyrim, can't wait to see what they look like now. Judging from the khajit's look they are going to be quite bad-ass :intergalactic:

Same formula I always do. Nord Male first (especially since it's skyrim) Either going to have a slim highlander type guy who uses a claymore, or a massively fat nord with a huge greying beard if weight adjustments are possible; kind of like Gimli (LOTR) if he were twice as big.. drink any booze and food I find.

Second character, breton female mage. Get the game from the complete polar opposite perspective.

After that I'll just try out all the different races and class styles. Going to be playing this game for a looooong time.

Most likely female Breton with Atronarch birthsign, again.

Though if other races look good, I might consider, for example, a Highelf instead.

Or, if they finally manage to make good looking males, that would be an option, too.

Too bad birthsigns have been taken out, Atronach was also one of my faves, it altered my playstyle so much it was like playing a different game.

Its funny how despite how obviously tailored this game and its storyline is to being a Nord, how popular the Argonian is. I am personally going to be an Imperial, in part to be a succesor to my favourite Morrowind character but also I'm hoping to fight for the Empire.

I can't believe Redgaurds always lose these polls.

I'm making a Nord for the first playthrough for story purposes. A bearded Nord running around screaming at things sort of fits the best.

I haven't decided which race my first character will be yet. Probably either Khajiit or Nord. I like Nords sligthly more but the fact that they make up the majority of the population makes me want to play as a Khajiit instead. I like to be part of the minority.

Its nice to see Argonians on par with Nords, I doubt Bethesda is fully aware of how popular Argonians are.

What evidence is there to support that erroneous statement.

If they had removed Argonians from Skyrim I'd say that what you say might have some merit, but they didn't.

I doubt they are fully aware of how popular any of the races in their games are, unless they have some kind of stat tracker that keeps track of which race players choose and uploads the data to Beth whenever they connect to the internet.

Thats very true, the only thing I really based that on was that we haven't seen any Argonian screenshots yet but then again we haven't really seen any Elves either. So no evidence really, I was surprised by the popularity of Argonians in this poll and figured Bethesda would feel similarly, thats probably not the case though.

Was pondering to use Breton as my main character's race, but the more I think about it, a Redguard would be more apt.

So there it is: Visar Valaranggarang. Redguard, ex-composer/pirate, full time dilettante.

I'm pretty sure that Bethesda are already fully aware of it for quite a while. There was the pre-Morrowind fiasco after all, if I recall correctly, where they decided to put back the beast races back as one of the playable races after the exasperation of the fanbase was getting too intense to ignore, after the announcement that those two won't be playable (as well as introducing two new races at the time, the Imperials and the Orcs).
