What race will you play as first?

Post » Mon Jun 13, 2011 8:12 am

I am going to play as a Breton rogue or something. He doesn't care if he is good at magic, he just wants to use his swords. Ooh, what I like to be different.

The Nord voice is just awful, "What were they thinking?!" tier awful.

Exactly, he sounded so anti-hero like at the end, I guess it was a replacer voice but still, the one in the trailer was better

I think my point from a thread long ago has finally been proven for anyone who foolishly doubted it. Argonians are hands down the best TES race.

The only reason they're behind Nords is because people have OCD and must first play the native race for the region the game is set in or they'll have a seizure.

Yuck. I seriously DO NOT understand why any one likes Argonians. I mean... what is there to like? I can understand why some would like Khajiits, seeing as though they're epic stealth characters, but Argonians?
Dear oh dear, I just do not get it.

But yeah, Nords are just as bad.

Nord. And not even because TES:V is in Skyrim, either. I always play a Nord, have ever since Morrowind. :)

Argonian first, as they please me the most aesthetically and as a distinctly interesting culture; then I'll make a Khajiit pure thief, and eventually play all the races for a while, like I did in the previous games.

I'll play as Nord. Khajit or Altmer if it is are done well, most likely. Argorians are number three or maybe four for me. I just can't stand the feeling of grumpy old grandma speaking when I see one. :D

Tor between Altmer and Bosmer. I want to play pure Mage or Pure Range on my first playthrough.

Argonians Rogue :tops:
Not really wearing armor because it gets in the way, but wearing regular clothing, weilding a Axe in one hand and a Sword on the other not really using stealth but calling out opponent and realying more on his skill with weapons and agility then depending on armor to protect himself, catching arrows, blocking melee attacks and dodging fire balls "getting burned, frostbite and shocked 40% of the time >.>" he is quick and doesnt believen in facing a your opponent face to face and the more out numbered you are, the better tale you get to tell once you killed or better defeated and spare his enemies...

:intergalactic: Once you go Argonian, you never go back. :intergalactic:

This. Once I saw Argonians in Daggerfall I knew it was the race I was going to play as in TES games. Lizards rock. :mohawk:

Argonian is my 1st choice, the reasons are pretty much obvious: the most interesting folk, the most appealing racials, the weird appearance and last but not least, the mystery surrounding their society, their culture and their motivations. I think a TES game set in Black Marsh would be the pinnacle of all adventures survival-wise.

I love teh Argonian almost on par with the Khajiit. No, I like them both equally. I understand why people are crazy about visiting Argonia, if I were to pick one province between Elsweyr and Argonia I'd probably go with Argonia too. Besides my Khajiit would be in Argonia like an "Englishman in New York" :hubbahubba:

You misspelled both "Khajiit" and "Orc" :nono:

I'll definitely be playing as a Nord though.

I have four different characters planned for Skyrim, and I will play them all eventually. Right now though I'm leaning toward breton for my first playthrough.

Who are the strongest warriors in all of Tamriel? Redguards, of course! And that is most likely what I'll play as.

There are some improvements on the other races I'm hoping for though. Orcs not looking stupid is one of them (which looks like a very good possibility). I also hope that Argonians and Khajiit actually look like beasts instead of scaly/furry humans. Khajiits look much better now, I thought they looked horrible in Oblivion. Imperials are bland but look more interesting now that we're out of the empire, Nords are cool but they get old fast, Altmer need their golden skin back, Bosmers are awesome but need to look more lithe, Dunmers could use a looks tune-up (I liked what I saw from pics of Morrowind), and Bretons need to look more like they do in this http://images.uesp.net/9/96/Breton_official.jpg.

I like all of the races, but I generally refuse to play as the one I'm most likely to see in the game (except in Arena, since all of the races besides Orcs and Imperials were common there).

EDIT: If I could play as a 40k Ork in this, I would be set for life. But then the Space Marines would come and destroy the planet or some such thing so...
