What race will you play as first?

Post » Mon Jun 13, 2011 5:35 am

In the past Bretons were the best race to choose for their permanent 50% magicka resistance, so once again I'm playing as my favorite race.

Uh, no.

My first character is going to be either an Imperial, a Redguard, or an Orc. Right now I'm leaning away from the Redguard because my current Daggerfall character is a Redguard, and I like having variety.

Khajiit, my characters in Morrowind and Oblivion were Khajiit too, night vision and awesome jumping skills for the win!

2nd playthrough though I'll try out a Nord hack-n-slash warrior.

I'm not sure, I been thinking of playing a warrior Nord character first like many others have thought aswell. Shield and Axe/Sword mostly for the sake of it being Skyrim.

But I really want to play as an Argonian assassin, but I would need a form of polearm. Even if that means a wooden staff that does less damage then throwing weightless carots at people. But a spear or Halberd would be preferable.

Recently tho I been really intrested in the new spell system, I did not like oblivions spell system at all. Won't fear buying spells which later on would become useless because of better ones while filling up the spell list and so on. And with 2 hands to play around with and different effects and everything it just seems possible to make some cool combinations. So might want to atleast play as a spellsword if not all out mage.

Enchanting and Smithing intrests me too, so been thinking of a female high elf dual sword weilder, both swords enchanted ofcourse. And a master of the dragon shouts to make up for not having a hand free for magic kind of.

pity you can not play like a dwarf in this game either.
I wonder if they made any height differences between the different races, the North is higher than Redgards, or something like that.

Well, played as dunmer on most of my characters in Morrowind, I found them sinister and unique in some way that I liked. So yeah, dunmer it is for skyrim aswell I think, but a real badass axe maniac nord would be awesome aswell, so many choices....

Bosmer are short, but I'm pretty sure you can alter you character's body in Skyrim.

Argonian. Should be fairly obvious why.

lol @ everyone playing a boring, typical Nord

my second character is always argonian, they are my favorite race but I always make my main the race native to where the game takes place, been doing that since Morrowind. ( They have to make TES: Black March soon though)

Nord.

Going to make an older fat guy on one last final adventure. Seems most fitting that it'd be a Nord.

Well, at first I wanted to play a Breton, my favourite race so far, but then saw that pretty picture of (probably) an Imperial girl, and now I'm quite torn between the two. I suppose I'll wait with the decision until I've checked which race gets the prettier results in the face creator - yes, I'm that shallow.

Or I may toss a coin - heads for Breton, tails for Imperial and if it lands on its edge... hmm...

Well, in both Morrowind and Oblivion the first character I created was a Nord. However, the Dunmer took the spot of my favorite race after I became well-versed in the lore. So, I'll be starting as a Dunmer. After that I'll probably make an Orc, then a Nord... Not sure after that. :tes:
