What race will you play as?

Post » Thu Feb 17, 2011 8:36 pm

I usually play as a Breton, as i like to create a character that is similar in appearance to myself, and i tend to play as a magic user.

I've never had a great interest in Khajit or Argonian and tbh i find them quite annoying. I've played a few times as Dunmer and Altmer, but would never play as a redguard.

Because lizards are cool.

Breton for me, most likely, as I always choose them and they own.

Another thread about this... MY answer is the same as always.
Thin small argonian mage without FACIAL HAIR.
For weapons I will probably use a spear or dual short swords (Wouldn't be strong enough for long :P) when I'm not flinging spells.

Hmm, i'm just as exited as you are. Enjoy 9 months of hell while we wait for Skyrim to be released.

Yeah, not only that but between now and release date I need to purchase a new PC because the motherboard failed on my main gaming PC a few months ago and now I am forced to use my old Pentium 4 with the older and much slower AGP display card. I can still play games like Diablo 2, Titan Quest, Morrowind, etc but the newer ones like for instance Mass Effect 2 which I purchased on Steam the day before my motherboard failed so I still have not even tried it out.... :violin:

Usually I play Dark Elf and usually both a male and female version so I can see if there is any difference at all...this time around I am thinking I might want to go a pure magic user as I can get without constant deaths, and that is only because at the current time my character is kinda like the TV show character Merlin and that was because of the episode where he cut the dragon free and then had to learn Dragon Shouts to make it stop attacking Camelot....

I plan to play a Khajiit stealth/magician if possible. I'm picking Khajiit because I love playing as an anthropomorphic cat!

Most likely a nord.

Second choice is Imperial.

Imperial male, light armor (Probably never going above Leather, even though I'll mod the values unless we have layering of clothes and I can wear some kind of overcoat), Sabre (Or Longsword if they don't have sabres), Marksman, Sneak, Security, Block (Parrying only)... and no spells at all. Atronach birthsign.

Then I'll hope someone can work out a mod to have flintlock pistols based on Marksmanship skill. There was a great mod for Oblivion as far as the appearance of the pistol itself, seemed to fit the setting just fine, but the animation and implementation of the pistol was pretty poor.

Altmer pure mage, (necromancer), and worshipper of the Daedric Princes and collector of their artifacts, if there are any to collect. Very power hungry and possible member of the Dark Brotherhood.

Male argonian with a halberd, spear or staff if any of those are implimented in the game.

Stealth focused, but won't be a thief or murder just for the fun of it. Only take the life of those he thinks aren't worthy of it. Think I might go with criminals, wealthy and bad people or something in those lines as targets. Possible a specific race like dunmers, kahjits or maybe elfs in general. But will work that out eventually, might even go with no killing apart from the bandits around skyrim. Sneak up with a halberd shethed on the back as you get closer pull it out and go for the kill.

Alchemy going to be another of my main skills, traveling around in the wild and gathering ingredients. Won't really mass produce potions and sell them for profit but make them for my own use or research purpose mainly. Poison for weapon im not sure how I will go with it. Possible I use a staff as main weapon while using a dagger for sneak poioned attacks against strong enemies. As a staff dont really make sense to be poisoned. Assuming staffs even are a physical weapon.

Really can see it like seeing 2 enemies, equiping my dagger poisoning it comming up behind one of them STAB! The other enemy notice me as i switch to my staff and proceed to finish him off quickly.

Questwise think he'll focus more on side quests and not really joining a guild, why possibly he wont be my first playthrough as then i might want to finish the main quest, maybe play as a Nord like many others seem to do.

My first race will be a Argonian because they are epic and awesome. My next will be a Nord warrior. In Oblivion I got the permanent bound daedric armor glitch and enchanted it all with +10 speed. My final speed was over 150. I don't plan on doing that again because it was kind of ridiculous but my Argonian will probably be using a spear/halberd (assuming they are in the game) and be using any speed skill as well. Then I will put in a mix of skills that will fit him and voila, there is my character. My Nord will be a full out warrior with every skill that is in the "Combat" classification.

I'll probably keep my tradition. The first character I ever played in the Elder Scrolls series was a Nord. I like the nordic terrain, culture and architecture.
I prefer long swords- one or two handed, medium/heavy armor mixed with unarmored.
But needless to say, I'll definitely have dozens of characters. :goodjob:

I usually go with a Redgaurd for my first run through. I like to tank so they usually do great for me. After that it will be a battle mage of some sort, Ill have to see the character list in-game to make that decision

My main character has always been Dunmer, ever since Daggerfall. You can't go wrong with dark elves, if you ask me.

sorry to say this but male dunmer lol, i plan on using duel wield swords/short swords and i like them because they're shorter and im short :) also i have elf like ears. I've just always liked using them as an archer/quick character.

Sounds to me like your referring to a Bosmer (Wood Elf) not a Dunmer (Dark Elf). Correct me if I'm wrong, that's just what it sounds like.

I'll probably be playing as a Female Breton but if I don't like how they look then I'll switch over to a Female Imperial.

Nord first

Seems to fit the Barbarian/Warrior aspect well and I'm a Axe/Mace guy.

Imperial second

My first character in Morrowind was an Imperial and this was the first time I played the game.

between Nord and Bosmer haven't resided yet gonna see what bonus they get.

Nord-i like to carry a lot of stuff but i also love daggers, sneaking and stealing
Bosmer-i like ,dagger, stealing and sneaking but i also love to carry lot of stuff but their height is kind of a turn off. -was my first race in Oblivion and then Morrowind(i regretted playing whit a bosmer on this game)).
