What race will you be playing as?

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 4:39 pm

I've always played as an Argonian in the Elder Scrolls, so as long as they're in TESV, I'll be happy. Have you always had a race you've played as? What will yours be?

High Elf, Nord, Dunmer, Redguard, maybe a Breton or two, and a Orc. Oh and a female Wood Elf.

Either dunmer or kajiit (maybe breton if dunmers are pansies like in OB), neutral, maybe a tad good, tad evil. Whatever benefits me more w/o being some psychotic murderer. Probably leaning on stealth/combat little magic, dustructo and alchemy.

Fun times ahead!

The Khajiit are my favourite race, so I'll probably start as one of them. Depends a little on their stats though. Also considering an Argonian or a Dunmer for my first character.

Khajiit or Argonian would be an assassin/thief kind of character. Khajiit with a blade, or Argonian with a bow, most likely. Dunmer probably a spellblade or something. Also considering a Breton mage for a second character. As I'm sure you can tell, I prefer light or no armor.

I always do my first playthrough (before getting mods for new races) as a Bosmer.

If I play as a mage first Bretan, a warrior then a Nord, or a thief then a Bosmer. Never been to tied down to one race really, played them all, some opposites of what they were meant for. Down with conformity, I will be to be a High Elf nightblade! Just joking, but did that before. I guess I might try an albino Khajjit witch if I remember to do it when it comes out.

I've always played as Dunmer. I doubt I will change that as well.

I might be playing as a Wood Elf this time around. I'm leaning toward the archer acolyte for Skyrim. Still've got a year to decide though so, might change.

I wonder if Skyrim will be similar to Morrowind's character development mechanic, where if I choose to play two conflicting roles (Breton and Fighter) I would be able to potentially be stronger than if I had chosen to be an Orc Fighter instead.

I've always been a Nord but I'll try out Breton for that outlander feel.

always like playing as a Nord or Breton. One is good at fighting, the other is good at magic.

I usually play as a Dunmer, though I might just change to an Imperial or a Nord for this game. I'm thinking Imperial.

This has always been an extremely tough choice to make for me - I bet I'll spend the first 2-3 hours, just messing around in the
character creation menu, before I finally decide to just quit the game because the choice is to hard... :ahhh: (<- By the way, this was me when I found out about Skyrim)
Just kidding, but the first part will probably come true.

If I decide to play a heavy armored badass with high edurance and strength and an affinity for two-handed blunt weapons, I'm going with Nord for sho'!
On the other hand, I've always loved Dunmer - so maybe I'll go with a less brutish and more elegant character combining a sword with destruction-magic.
On the third(?) hand, Argonians are pure awesomeness - and I'll definitely make a thief/stealth character sooner or later.
For a mage with long robes and a unbreakable bond of love for stuff that shines magically, I'd go with either an Altmer or a Nord - I'd love to play as one of those fabled Greybeards!

But I'll probably end up making all of those characters and do the same quests 4 separate times because of my excrutiating inability to decide which race/class I'd like to play! (like Oblivion)

(it's fun to imagine which race you'd be yourself if they actually existed in the real world!)
