Am I the only one wanting to play an Altmer? Either that or a magical Breton.

Don't know. Whatever seems to suit me I'll pick. And since it's a new engine the race I pick may be effected a little.

Probably an Orc warrior type. Both of my starters for Morrowind/Oblivion were melee specialists.

Then a Nord Ranger, a melee/archery character .

Dunmer, they are my favorite race and I've played one in Arena, Daggerfall, Morrowind, and Oblivion. I Don't plan on breaking the trend
My second character will be a Nord. Because they are my second favorite race. Any character after them is up in the air.

Female Nord, Jack of all Trades, and hopefully this time, Bethesda does not penalize me for wanting this

I think those native of Skyrim will have a hard time accepting an Argonian, or worse still a Khajiit , as their chosen one, he who is Dragon Born. So you gotta go Nord as a mark of respect.

My guess is the Dragonborn is like Martin was in Oblivion, not the player character.

First play through for morrowind: Dunmer
Then oblivion: Imperial
So following tradition, take a guess

An Argonian thief, as usual. No matter what other races I try to use, I always wind up going back to Argonians. I just hope Bethesda makes them look less like a person wearing a costume this time.

First characters:
Morrowind: Nord Knight.
Oblivion: Nord Knight.
Arena: Nord Knight.
Daggerfall: Nord Knight
Skyrim: Argonian Conjurer.

Just kidding :P
I'm not about to break the habit.

I always play a Nord first, have since Morrowind.

But my second character will be a Dunmer, probably with some magical tendencies...

Khajiit!
Definitely, I'm a frequent flyer with that race, always used it and always will :P
Usually as Assassins and Thieves.

Three main playthroughs.

The first, my Altmer Warmage - all the schools of magic, + heavy armour.
The second, an Imperial Rogue.
The third...a Nord Warrior is obvious.

I'm hoping playing as a mer in the Throat of the World will lead to some interesting dialogue...
