What race will you be playing as ? (With Poll)

Post » Thu Sep 17, 2009 8:17 am

Why can I only pick one? If you mean first I would say a dark elf, if you say mains I would pick imperial, breton, and dark elf, but what race? All of them, at some point or another.

Dark Elf for sure.

And please have all of the races sound different this time around, Bethesda. I hated how Elves, Beast Races, and Nords/Orcs all had generic voices in Oblivion. I want my Morrowind-ish Dunmers back.

Depends, if the default races look as bad as the did in Oblivion/FO I'll be using a custom race. If the default races actually look good for once, it'll be a toss up between imperial and nord.

My Elder Scrolls characters' race creation percentage is something in the lines of Dunmer 70% and all the rest battling for the other 30% :P

I will probably open a Dunmer as my first character in Skyrim as well.

Hopefully they made the Dunmers' voice back to how they're supposed to sound like.. and not like Oblivion :obliviongate: .

Imperial, as usual - hard to resist giving myself a latin name when it's so readily available. Albeit with a noticeable Redguard ancestry, and a stabbity-stab tendency, just to set myself off.

Dunmer, if only it is to die with my brothers sisters as the end draws near, when moon and star shine upon my people for the last time.

I've been dunmer since I first started playing. At least first playthroughs.

Dunmer first. I'll probably make a pretty nord for my second playthrough.

I usually play as a Bosmer as my first character in a new TES, but I think I may break tradition and go with a Khajiit this time around.

I like magic and hate elves. So probably a bretton assuming racial benefits stay the same. But the magic system may change enough that race is less meaningful kind of like how little race means to stealth or combat roles, in that case maybe nord because I prefer the appearance a bit.

I always play as a Wodelf ranger and theif on my first plythrough. Then I roleplay my mixed bloodline, which has a new race each game.Morrowind was a Dark Elf, Obivion a Kajiht, Skyrim I will probably do a Wood Elf or Orc.

If you're gonna' have the same thread twice, only with a poll, I'm going for a repost:

This has always been an extremely tough choice to make for me - I bet I'll spend the first 2-3 hours, just messing around in the
character creation menu, before I finally decide to just quit the game because the choice is to hard... (<- By the way, this was me when I found out about Skyrim)
Just kidding, but the first part will probably come true.

If I decide to play a heavy armored badass with high edurance and strength and an affinity for two-handed blunt weapons, I'm going with Nord for sho'!
On the other hand, I've always loved Dunmer - so maybe I'll go with a less brutish and more elegant character combining a sword with destruction-magic.
On the third(?) hand, Argonians are pure awesomeness - and I'll definitely make a thief/stealth character sooner or later.
For a mage with long robes and a unbreakable bond of love for stuff that shines magically, I'd go with either an Altmer or a Nord - I'd love to play as one of those fabled Greybeards!

But I'll probably end up making all of those characters and do the same quests 4 separate times because of my excrutiating inability to decide which race/class I'd like to play! (like Oblivion)

(it's fun to imagine which race you'd be yourself if they actually existed in the real world!)
