What races do you like most? I'm a big fan of Bretons, Argonians, and Khajiits

I almost always play a dunmer character, for some reason I just can't really get into the other races as well.

Really? I find the flavor of Redguards really boring. They are fantastic warriors, but the idea of a race of sea faring super adventurers just smacks a bit of Kal-El to me.

I've played all of them, but lately I get the most satisfaction with Altmers. They're a little more extreme than other races, in that their magical strength is well offset by weaknesses. If you then make an Altmer into something other than a mage, you get some interesting challenges.

Bretons... I like their place in the lore, plus their versatility. It's possible that they're a touch OP'd, though my current one is an Apprentice, which sharpens up a double edged sword and keeps her on her toes around magic users.

I'd like the Altmer a whole lot more if it weren't for the ethnocentrism and desire to push the reset button on Mundus.

I like both Bretons and Argonians but voted Breton. In fact there is only one race that I will not use and that's Wood Elf

Altmer. The elemental weakness is just enough to make you a little on edge sometimes, Necromancer and Conjurer dungeons are too easy for Bretons, imho. And the fact that being the tallest helps them run faster in those same dungeons is something I appreciate, even if it is hardly noticeable.

I voted Breton, as they're my most played race in Oblivion due to me being able to make them look okay. I take the Apprentice for the weaknesss.
My actual favourite race are Dunmer. Love the lore.

This is so hard!

I love Bosmer for archer assassin, Dunmer for multi-class and Redguard for pure fighter.

Mmm... man. I finally gave in and voted Redguard, but it's such a tough call. I'd rank Redguard, Dunmer and Breton all at the top, with Bosmer and Orcs not far behind. There really isn't a race I don't like.

Dunmer has always been my favorite. They are just cool by nature.

I have seen no one mention imperials... I have made a lot of common imperial knight-ish characters..

Sea faring super adventurers sounds awesome to me. Even Redguards that have nothing to do with the sea or super adventures, like Baurus or Tamika, are awesome in my book. And let's not forget Owyn.

But, of course, Cyrus is one of my all-time favorite TES characters.

I have to say Dunmer. Its very fun running around Cyrodiil as an uppity little archer delivering (poisoned) gifts to all the cute little critters and being rude to massive hulking Nords and Orcs :biggrin:

See the lore is what I like the most about Redguards. Ansei, Torn's Sword Hunt, the rise of Baron Hira and the Hiradirge (am I the only one that thinks that these two events are connected somehow?), and the sailing of the Ra'Gada. I like the fact that they leave Yokuda only to conquer and settle the hind end of Tamriel!

Oh, I picked Redguard. :blush:
