I shall be starting as an Imperial for my first complete play through.

Depends on what feels right at the time...probably Imperials, but I'd just as likely play Breton and Khajiit if they made the races unique enough.

In Morrowind and Oblivion I started out with a Dunmer character first. While I am really looking forward to playing Skyrim as a Nord, I think my first character will be a Dunmer again.

1st: Male Nord Battlemage: To get the hang of the game and try something new.

2nd: Female Khajiiti mage: My main archetype I've used since Morrowind!

I always make my first character the race native to that province. I was a Dunmer in MW and an Imperial in OB, so it's Nord for Skyrim.

I'm always a khajiit or argonian, never even played most of the other races. I don't think an argonian or any reptile things would like the snow though, so I'm probably going to end up as a khajiit agent or assassin.

If they fix races to have a bonus instead of the ridiculous headstarts, then I'd finally choose a female Wood Elf; if not then Breton. Always taking the same build, a seductive, intelligent and ffragile Shadow Assassin.

Voted Breton, since I've never seen any comment at all about the race problem above.

Without doing it consciously, my first character in OB was an Imperial and my first in MW a Dunmer. So I will follow that sentiment, and start with a Nord.

Breton battlemage. Did the same thing with Morrowind and Oblivion.Gonna go through the main quest to get the idea of the storyline and start a new game as my Argonain and roleplay until a new TES game comes out. ^_^

Altmer Archmage (unless the bar guild mastery). Primarily a battlemage, but I will keep a well enchanted blade at my side, and my wizardry shall extend well beyond the boundaries of duels and skirmishes. I may do a Dunmer of like kind. . . but the Dunmer are always so short. I love to play a male Aurouran, Mazkan or a Dremora. . . but what can ya do, huh? lol

For me the race has little actual meaning, it is all about the bonuses that the race gets. Once I see those I will be able to see which race I will be first. Probably which ever race has bonuses best suited to an Jack of all trades character

I haven't decided yet. I prefer Nords but at the same time there is just something appealing about belonging to a ethnic minority in roleplaying games, which is one of the reasons that i rarely play as Imperials in Oblivion and i don't think i have ever played as a Dunmer in Morrowind. I don't know which race i would chose instead. Probably Imperial, Breton or Khajiit.

I still think Nords are the coolest race by far. But I'm more than likely going with Bretons because they make the best battlemages, and battlemages are savage.
