What Race do you plan on creating first?

Post » Mon Mar 15, 2010 8:19 pm

I plan on creating an Argonian or an Imperial first. My first character on TESIV was an Imperial, whereas my first Morrowind Character was an Argonian. It'll be a tough choice, but I guess it depends on how I'll be feeling in almost a year.

I plan to create a race of sheeple that have varying forms of dialect that repeat and bleet whatever they hear last.

Seriously Nord.

I play exclusively with Khajiits. Humans are boring, elves are ugly and argonians are lizards. If any of that changes i'll reconsider :D

The only true Dragonborn are Imperials. So whether we are Dragonborn or simply the Dovhakiin's Side-Kick ala Pelinal Whitestrake, Imperial I shall be.

(While Talos was a Nord, or at least lived in Skyrim to learn the Thu'um, he forever called Imperials his people, and created the last Cyrodiilic, Septim dynasty. He might not be Imperial in blood, but he is in heart!

Breton. I've always done Breton for Oblivion, Dunmer for Morrowind. I'm guessing Skyrim will be more like the former.

Dunmer; I hope to sort of revive the spirit of my favorite Morrowind character, who was an Ashlander. :) But I'll probably create a female Nord character shortly thereafter; I like to have multiple characters. :D

I've narrowed it down to one of the following:

1.) Nord (Paladin)

2.) Altmer (Battlemage)

3.) Dunmer (Balanced)

4.) Redguard (Warrior)

5.) Bosmer (Rogue)

Which of those it ends up being will be determined by what I see in the previews in terms of racial bonuses/perks, class bonuses/perks, the basic plot of the main quest, and any tweaks to the combat system. As of now though the order listed above is my current order of priority. I will play each of those characters at some point, as well as a few others for which I have some rough ideas (standard Breton Mage, Argonian Thief, maybe a traditional Altmer Mage or Nord Tank). The only classes I may avoid are Imperials, Orcs, and Khajiit. None of those races appeal to me very much based on their appearances and/or racial perks, though if they get some positive changes for Skyrim I will reconsider.

Breton
It's always a Breton, then maybe at some point I'll make a Nord but more than likely by the time I'm bored with my Breton I will have just changed the race in the CS to do what ever I want them to do and never actually touch a vanilla race again :P

Probably depends on what skills and special abilities interest me the most. And maybe looks, if some are hideous and some are not.
