What races do you want in the next Elder Scrolls game?
Personally I want to play as a sload. :D
If you don't know what other races are check out the UESP wiki.

I wouldn't want to play as a Sload, they aren't exactly nimble creatures. But I wouldn't mind seeing one in the game.

I'm quite happy with the ten we have now. Though I will confess to being interested in at least seeing a Maormer or Sload, maybe a glimpse of a Falmer.

Plus the main mode of transportation for a Sload would likely be teleportation, and that no longer exists... so yea, no cross-country journeys for you.

Pretty interested in the Sloads either, not to play one though, I only play beautiful (to some extent) characters xD

I want an adoring fan race and a fargoth race and a deadric prince race. And a zombie race and a hybrid of the khajiit and argonian races.

I'm with you on the half-breeds thing. I wouldn't go to an extreme like Argonian-Khajiit, but maybe Imperial-Nord, or Breton-Redguard. Maybe the racial attributes and appearance could balance out. Say, you have a Dunmer (Dark skin, 75% fire resistance) mixed with an Altmer (Tall, weakness the magic), you would wind up with a semi-tall dark skinned "Dultmer" with 50% fire resistance and 50% magic weakness.

I originally found the idea of new races exciting as well, but I soon came to realise it wouldn't be such a good idea. It would be better for Bethesda to focus on and refine the races we already have, and new races means that they need even more voice acting for each line in the game, which means less space, which in turn means less interesting dialogue. I wouldn't mind seeing a different race, but as a playable character? No.

Playable races? I want it to stay as it is from the couple past games and expand on the cultural differences and mannerisms of each race.

I want to see all the different varieties of Khajiit, the Hist, and the Sload, but other than that, no.

I want to see the Dark Elves, High Elves, Wood Elves, and the Orcs taken out COMPLETELY!!!
But they could be replaced with Dunmers, Altmers, Bosmers, and the Orsimers.

... I just think that the latter names sound better and more professional. Maybe the latter names can be used in Character Creation and books, and the first names could be used more in dialog. :)

But doesn't this belong in the TES Suggestions thread?

No new playable races but NPCs and enemies.
Sload, nymph, lamia, herne, vermai, morphoid, slaughterfish, dreugh, spider daedra and seducers of both sixes. Golden saints that look cool like in TES3, not like bodypainted teens like in TES4.

Plus the cool Dwemer centurions.

The 10 playable races we have now are more than enough.

Playable? No more than the ones already there (though it would be interesting to be able to choose between the different sub-races e.g. ohmes, suthay etc. for khajiit. Nagas, paatru atc. for argonians.) When we talk about seeing but not playing races like the dwemer in morrowind or the sload in redgaurd, then that would be ok, same for some of the more exotic variants of races (e.g. senche and mane from khajiits)

Looking at Oblivion, they should fix the ones they have before they start adding any more. I want my gravel-voiced Dunmer back! The VA was in Fallout 3, so I can only hope he'll be in TESV.

The usual 10. I would like to see the various Khajiit subraces though.

I'm okay with the races we got. But we could bring back the Ohmes race.

But it existed in Oblivion, I could just click anywhere on the map and there I was, didn't even cost me any magika...

But seriously, the choice of races in the former games has been pretty diverse, not much of a need to add more.

They're called Dark Elves, High Elves, Wood Elves and Orcs.
That's what they're called.

EDIT: Oh, and Dunmer isn't pluralized with an "s"

I like the races they already have.

Dunmer
Altmer
Bosmer
Orc (Orsimer, to some)
Redguard
Breton
Nord
Imperial
Khajiit
Argonian

They need to be more distinct, both visually and in abilities, attribute bonuses, and skill bonuses.

Depending on the location (Province) of the next game, I'd like to see at least two of the sub-species of Khajiit.

Or, at least more choices for physical variety (not just faces) - skin/fur/scale tone, height (tall, average, short), and body type (bulky, normal, slender).

If the story called for it, I wouldn't mind seeing the Akaviri races. I suspect we'll be seeing the stock races over again though.

Hybrids would be awesome though.
