What REALLY happened too Vivec?

Post » Tue May 08, 2012 5:22 am

I've always viewed the Tribunal and Dagoth Ur to exist as two entities simultaneously. There's the mortal aspect, the ones encountered and killed in-game, and then the god aspect, the ones that exist in the realm of gods. Before the Heart was disenchanted, these two aspects were one. After the Heart was disenchanted, these two aspects split apart.

The mortal aspect of Vehk is dead. The god aspect of Vehk is always.

I cut off his head.

I didn't like him.
Likewise.

Him and ole' Molag kissed and made up, they're 'cuddling' in the Lord's nail-bed as we speak.

Their love was a bed of nails
Raep feels good on a bed of nails
Lay down Vehk, and when all else fails
Bite off Bal's spear on that bed of nails.

Now really, he ain't dead.

Way I see it, he wanted red year to happen, he's sitting back pretending to be dead, watching the chaos unfold

Both Talos and Vehk are beyond the point of fighting.
"The triadic gods wars against Talos, and would have him removed, for he sets the stars in stone which could spell their doom. They come before they are anticipated, for unless they do they may never come at all; Alduin is their antecessor, but only if Hjalti fails" http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1249697-on-boethiahs-summoning-day/

I don't think there above it.

His soul was tarpped, then put into a ring.

That ring was sent down to the deepest waters of Thras

And now he's hunting down all those who make arrow in the knee jokes. Azura used to make up prophecies, but then she took Muatra to the mouth.

They've purposefully made it into a mystery because killing him in Morrowind was possible, and if they suddenly revealed that he was still alive or the Daedra did in fact kidnap him then it would sort of invalidate some people's playthroughs.

unless he could fake his death.

The Nerevarine killed him, then Mannimarco came along resurrected him. The two of them are now having tea in a cave near the Imperial city.

Killing Vehk in Morrowind would just cause him to resurrect again, right (lore-wise, not in-game)? Due to the power of the Heart. Upon the Heart's destruction, he may still be able to do this because of CHIM.

He's actually taken his Vekhship on a five-era mission to the Outer Realms, to go were no Mer has gone before, that is to say, both-ways with cosmic horrors.

I think BATW comes into play there.

A powerful/interesting/bad-ass god figure like Vivec simply just disappearing after all of the things he's done, just one of them being symbolically face-[censored] a Daedric prince, would be extremely anti-climactic.
