What REALLY happened too Vivec?

Post » Tue May 08, 2012 10:09 am

Now I've heard all the theories surrounding the Gods disappearence but what I haven't heard is what the forums opinion on this awesome characters absence during Morrowinds most trying times. I would also like too hear if anyone thinks he might make a comeback.

He's spending some time in Aetherius, taking a break from mundane things. He should make a comeback and probably will.

Allegedly the Daedric princes kidnapped him to put him on trial for being a false god during the Oblivion crisis.

Me, we already know who Vivec really is and where he is now. He's Merry Eyesore the Elk travelling on a vehkship through time and space and visiting some other plane(t) while also here on the gamesas forums.

You're mixing up your rumors. One says that the Daedra kidnapped him during the crisis, the other has him put on trial for his crimes and subsequently vanishing (after exacting revenge on Azura, revealing the truth of himself and Nerevar's murder, and delivering several spectacular speeches).

The Trial, btw, can be found http://imperial-library.info/content/forum-archives. Freshly refurbished for maximum effect.

There are other theories/rumours about Vivec's disappearance and fate:

- The Nerevarine killed him, hid the body in the Puzzle Canol and fled to Akavir on an "expedition".

- Vivec's disappearance has something to do with Akaviri machinations and strife, so the Nerevarine went on an expedition to investigate and learn the fate of Vivec.

There's also the one where Vivec makes the Nerevarine his wife, leading to both their disappearances.

The Nerevarine fell on Vivec's "spear", leading to the "disappearance" of all three.

He achieved CHIM, then came back as Vehk and Vehk during the 5th Era because he knew his own accession wasn't cutting it, so he came back to help the entire world achieve CHIM and become Amaranth.

The temporal myth is man.

The new man becomes the Amaranth.

Also isn't he fighting with Talos or something?

I was there when he kicked his way out of the traces and was last seen headed that-a-way. Not sure it's possible for him to care about the fate of the Dunmer, where he's gone. Giving a flip was something he had to leave behind, like a shed skin.

Official canon-wise, someone broke Azura's star. Which fits the facts.

Both Talos and Vehk are beyond the point of fighting.

Azura's star was broken between the time of Oblivion and Skyrim, the trial was before the events of Oblivion... So unrelated.

They've purposefully made it into a mystery because killing him in Morrowind was possible, and if they suddenly revealed that he was still alive or the Daedra did in fact kidnap him then it would sort of invalidate some people's playthroughs.

There's photographic evidence of this on google, so it must be true.

Vivec died the traitors death he deserved, right before Dagoth Ur met a similar end.

If you killed Vivec before Dagoth Ur, you did all of nothing to him. Indeed, even killing him after defeating Dagoth Ur is shakey.

I think he went into hidding so he wouldn't have to admit having played Skyrim for the last century.
