What really just hurts you

Post » Wed Aug 18, 2010 11:54 am

what hurts you mentally like words and stuff?
mine would be people mocking my voice... its the reason why i was silent in highschool because people always said it sounded creepy

That was the exact same for me. I don't know what your voice was like, but mine was (is) extremely deep, like the serial killers that call their victims before killing them in movies.

When somebody calls me a "casual gamer". Not because I think I'm "hardcoe", but that because they said that, I automatically know they think I'm some newbie to gaming and know absolutely nothing about it. At that point in the conversation, I rather harshly tell them to go [censored] a [censored].

Note: Or they're just trolls, and since trolls are my number one pet peeve in the world, I even more harshly tell them to [censored] a [censored] with a [censored] [censored].

Don't take offense when people call you a casual gamer. "Casual gamer" just means you have a life outside of video games. When someone calls me a "casual", it just makes me happy that I'm not them. I take it as a compliment. It's like someone who weighs 800 pounds calling you a casual eater. It is anything but an insult.

So, rather than telling them off, just smile and say, "Why, thank you."

I'm reaaally easy to hurt, unfortunately. Even a negative hint about my appearance, work, voice, or just anything else connected to me personally will completely shut me down and ruin my day. Which is just lovely. <_< Ah, the wonders of zero self-confidence! :P

Not really sure. I'm annoyed by idiots mocking my accent or calling me gay, etc. (kinda funny since I'm bi ), but nothing they do really hurts me. I've learnt by now that nothing they say has any real basis and they're just doing it to put me down, besides, who cares what other people think? If they're low enough to insult somebody based on appearance, then clearly their opinion is worthless.

Hurting other people. I'm pretty empathetic. Well, and in general anything on downwards polar days. The fall can be very hard, and I'm lucky that I have so many caring friends.

When someone insults my hair, or says anything about my hair or height in general. I don't understand it...I like my height and hair the way it is..but whenever someone says something about it I get really mentally depressed. Probably why I almost died in Middle School (had long hair all the way through, despise constant insults by my unhuman peers) I should probably stop thinking about it...I can feel the depression already. I still don't get why whenever someone says something about it I want to knock their teeth out. Why can't we all stop judging each others appearances?

Edit: Just remembered, I absolutely hate when I'm not acknowledged for something I've done. I just feel like an utter failure. And I always feel like no one listens to me no matter what I do. Everyone will be talking to each other but if I speak up everyone just stares for a second and gets back to their lives. I guess I'm just your typical comedian that truly feels depressed inside and just tries to make others laugh because I can't laugh myself.

name calling. I have had people call me names that still come back to punch me in the gut if I fail at something. It's hard to let stuff like that go.

Mentally wearing is traffic. After being stuck in traffic for more then an hour makes it really hard for me quit smoking. I have, but the strain on my mentality really gets my head throbbing. I am serious to! It's just not fun. It hurts my attitude and makes me want to smoke again.

It's especially hard when it's someone you care about calling you the names.

Seeing my best friend and his gf together, since I really like her. Or at least I did, until she used me to make him jealous, which almost got us into a fight. Now, it hurts that she would have done that.

Feeling like I haven't done my job to the best of my ability, even though my boss says I do a great job. No one is harder on me than myself. When it comes to my cooking, I'm a perfectionist, and good isn't great.

Knowing that I've disappointed my family with all the legal troubles I've gotten into over the years. Also the hurt I've caused others because of those crimes.

Being judged insane and/or suicidal just because I have a motorcycle, I just don't get how having a superbike and wanting to end your own life can be connected. I've had minor accidents, for what a regular band aid to cover up the scraqe was all the medical attention I needed, and even that due to bad and unfamiliar roads, yet every time I show up somewhere on my bike everyone there thinks I have a death wish. It just hurts when people think of you like that.

I only assume motorcycle drivers are suicidal when they drive between cars and go right down the lane divide in order to pass. I mean seriously, the people that do that are crazy. I could kill 'em by drifting slightly closer to the lane divide. Or opening my door.

Anyway, as for what hurts me mentally, when other peoples shoes squeak, and when some other people eat. (Because of the sounds. I shouldn't be able to hear what you're eating when I'm not even next to you.)

I just ignore them you're born the way you're born and there's no changing that. But all that actually got/gets on my nerves is people calling me weak

QFT

when the same people would [censored] themselves if they spent a day in my head on a bad day

.... just sayin

When people take no notice of you, or when your the only one that wasn't invited to something with a group of people you hang out with. That happened to me twice but that was because of me being at work. And the other was just.....I think I was sleeping or something. I hate missing out on stuff.

 I don't think I'll ever look at those elitists the same way again!

Ignorance (my own included when I realize I have been ignorant).

Same here. I don't have a lot of patience with other people's foolishness... which kind of svcks when I'm quite adept at idiocy myself, and even more judgemental when it's me who's at fault.

Edit: Just remembered, I absolutely hate when I'm not acknowledged for something I've done.

I can't say I'm a fan either, especially when it's a lot of effort and even more especially when someone else gets the credit (or takes it). It's happened to me quite a few times, but I've seen worse happen to others too. My "favourite" example was two co-workers, one of whom had put weeks of time and effort into preparing a report, and the second whose contribution was to change the author's name to his own just before it was submitted.

That's never fun, whether you're simply overlooked or "selectively not invited": though I think that it's interesting how years after all that shenanigans, the real popular types back then tend to be pretty much on their own.
