That's never fun, whether you're simply overlooked or "selectively not invited": though I think that it's interesting how years after all that shenanigans, the real popular types back then tend to be pretty much on their own.

Haha, that's so true. In high school I was really good friends with this one group, but they stopped inviting me to stuff (purposely I think) so I just started to hang out with other people. The one guy that made it his mission to exclude me has like 1 other friend now.

Well, there are always gonna be things someone prefers one person over another to do, but if this is a constant thing, I would "selectively" find other friends.

:P

For real though, someone I know claimed to be my "best friend" and said I was her "best friend" yet now she doesn't talk to me at all. The reason? Because I'm not hauling her ass around town. One of her other "friends" is doing that now and she's soooooo into her, she's even going to be her "friend's" babies godmother now. <_<

She did this to another person before me too, and it ticks me off. The problem is, I'm not sure if she even realizes she's doing it. All I know is that she hasn't asked me about why I missed so many school days or anything, nor has she even bothered to check in or even say hi. Yeah, some best "friend" you are.

Rejection: Wether it's online or out in public, I hate getting overlooked or push to the side for no reason.

Getting bad or poor treatment from people without any reason is #2 on my list.

People's attitudes in High School. You know, to be "cool" you have to be x, y and z, and to be a "nerd" you have to be a, b and c. I don't hang around with you, not because I'm a "nerd", it's because I don't like you. They automatically assume that because they're "cool" everyone wants to hang about with them, and be like them, and listen to the same music as them, who made them God on Earth! But what really annoys me are the people who just go along with it as if it's expected of them. I like to imagine what it'll be like when they realise that there is a much bigger world outside our town and that what your hair looks like and what music you listen to isn't going to help you much.

I'm reaaally easy to hurt, unfortunately. Even a negative hint about my appearance, work, voice, or just anything else connected to me personally will completely shut me down and ruin my day. Which is just lovely. <_< Ah, the wonders of zero self-confidence! :P

Bah, I know the feeling. Some things I can shrug off if I know the person saying them is in jest, but more often than not I dwell on it more than is necessary.

It also hurts in a way knowing that I can't dress in summer wear without being treated by the men of this town like...I don't even know how to word it. The disgusting stares and the things they say are so degrading to me. I absolutely hate just walking to the dairy in shorts and having to put up with filthy men hanging out the window staring at me the whole way down the road, I don't feel human when that happens. I hate it. I shouldn't have to put on jeans and a sweatshirt in 30 degree weather in order to feel normal.

And any form of suffering caused to others hurts me mentally.
