What settings are you using for a GTX 580?

I have finally come across a game that will not run well maxed out on my GTX 580, It looks like i am going to have to fiddle around with the settings to get better FPS which i am not used to doing.

Basically at the moment i have everything set to Very High, AA is at 2X and Vsync is off (I have adaptive Vsync enabled on the Control Panel). I am getting around 25-33 FPS with this configuration.

I am wondering what is the first thing you guys lower to get better frame rate? I am basically looking to lower a setting that eats a lot of frame rate and doesn't provide much to the visuals.

If i can get an extra 5-10 FPS without much visual impact that would be great.

These are my specs:

XFX Geforce GTX 580 (1.5GB)
8 GB DDR3 Dual Channel
AMD Phenom X6 @ 3.3Ghz

Hey man,

I have it setup nicely on my Asus GTX 580, getting a constant 50+ FPS.

My rig:

Asus GTX 580
Intel i5 2500k 3.3GHz
8GB ram
windows 7 64-bit

My crysis 3 setting are as follows:

AF: 16x
AA: off
Game effects: Very high
Objects: Medium
Particles: very high
Post Processing: Low
Resolution: 1920x1080
Shading: High
Shadows: High
Texture resolution: High
Water: Very high
V-sync off in game, but adaptive set on Nvidia control panel, also, 60 max frames set in the configurator.

Post processing, shadows and objects seem to take a hit on my system.
I used this program called Hypermatrix, it increased my fps by 25%, I will look for a link now.
When playing Crysis 3, open this file, and set it to maximum so it's at 0.500, however this will increase your CPU load, but will increase your fps.

Furthermore, if you don't use this program I still got 50+ fps.

The game looks delicious at these setting, trust me.

Hope this helps you in any way.

i run everything on low, except for objects detail and textures, then i upped the games sharpening in the console. but running at max i still got a consistent 50fps, only problem was in fire fights it dropped right down. and tbh the games looks sharper and nicer at low, dont know if all the effects give it a **** look but it looks nice at low
