Why play the game because I've played all the game i grew up with arena at my hands so I'm not gonna avoid playing this game at all.

Then surely you must understand that lore is HUGELY important to the series. Did you bother to read any of the books in-game? Or actually think about what was happening?

Tdroid, you're definitely not alone.

Lore does not matter to me at all.

Good for you, that explains why you started this topic :tops:

I know, my Count, I know.
Anyway, lets just abandon this thread before it becomes an argument like the "2 two-handed weapons" thread.

Pssst! I was being sarcastic!

I feel it's for the best.

Methinks Tdroid was as well ;)

Hero, just download some mods when they come out, if you REALLY want to ride dragons.

Other than that, I'm departing this thread. I like the tranquillity of these forums and damnit I want it to stay that way.

I sure hope we can't. And if you think that would ruin the game then your just ...pff....EDIT: We could ride Unicorns in Oblivion.

I know, but it doesn't seem like something that would fit in Skyrim. Just my opinion.

We are not here to say trolling or anything else it's what has shocked me.

I'm going to assume English is probably not your first language, so just some info for the future. Shocked means the same thing as amazed, so you can't be shocked by something you don't know. You can be shocked by the fact that you can ride dragons in Skyrim, but you can't be shocked by "are we able to ride dragons?".

I did get that, just thought the eye-roll was directed at me, which was mean you did not detect my sarcasm.

Wait. How is Morrowind going to be better?

You couldn't ride anything in it, and it didn't even had any dragons. So following your logic, Morrowind is the worst TES game...

Riding dragons would be overkill imo, the hero will become fast and strong anyway, no need of a private jet. The game is rewarding enough on the ground level. That harsh topography is there for a reason.

i wasn't gonna reply on this thread, but i just wanna say i hope horsed return and they are implemented in a much better way than oblivion (though i still enjoyed riding them), and i hope there will be a couple of other mounts in there too. I don't know what mounts, but i am intrigued by what todd had to say on the matter. The lore is hugely important to me, as is the story, so no ridable dragons please. I think i read every single in game book while playing morrowind and oblivion at least twice!!! :grad:

I've nearly been on here i seen the sneak peak trailer and it amazes me how you can fight a dragon. What I'm wondering if your able to be able to fly on a dragon, if not then that's gonna svck.

No, it would svck if we could.
TES is not Pokémon or How to Train Your Dragon (even though it's a good movie).
Dragons here are not some animals who breath fire and fly around, but are more like an intelligent race of their own.
So actually it would svck if we could ride them since it would be kinda immature and stupid.

Also, search option FTW!

Good thing Bethesda aren't making the game to suit your needs, so.

That sounds rather odd and why would chickens be ride able.

So the legends were true! :o

Lore does not matter to me at all.

In that case, just stop playing TES.

Just because a way of a story doesn't mean it has to not have all evil dragons, there can be good and bad.

No, I think the point is they are the bad guys of the story.
and they have all been imprisoned or sent to another plane of existence or somthing, and now theyare back and they dont want to make friends, they want to KILL EVERYONE.

Dragons are the enemy, riding the enemy would be ridiculus.

you can already summon that said enemy to your aid with one of the dragon shouts.

even if we don't get the option to ride them, being able to transform into one would be the next best thing.
martin septim did it (cost him his life, but he had never been trained in the ways of the dragonborn too so i'd assume there could be a relatively safe way to transform into a dragon)

That about summoning them... I would suppose you actuallty force them to help you.

And becoming into a dragon has nothing to do with what Martin did. He just acted as a receptacule for Akatosh. Becoming into a dragon would be, in my opinion, a stinky overpower idea.

one can dream, being a dragon or riding one is one of my favorites things i like to see in fantasy games. there could be even some practical uses for a "dragon form" like reaching an otherwise impossible platform in the highest mountains to find a few unique dungeons or having dragon on dragon air fights.

not all dragons have to be hostile to the dragonborn.
what if you could befriend one? being intelligent creatures themselves i'd imagine friendship/respect for the dragonborn isn't impossible under the right circumstances, like freeing one of them who has been shackled or healing one who is on the brink of death.

we'll just have to wait and see.
