What should happen when you begin the game and your in jail

Well, whatever it is, If its one of those tutorial things, PLEASE allow us the option to skip it if we start a new game! Both, Fallout and Oblivion had the mind numbing training level at the beginning. It was nice THE FIRST TIME, but after that we don't need it again thank you, having an option to skip it should be standard practice now. We should not have to expect someone to mod it in later.

But it is still the same in the essence in that you were at one point a prisoner. That, never changes.

I'm kinda glad it didn't change, personally. It's fun coming up with reasons why my character was imprisoned! Plus, when I wake up in that cell, I'll get THAT feeling and I'll say to myself, "Yep, it's The Elder Scrolls..."

.......Then I'll need to change pants........

Its funny cuz you have been playing Oblivion for six years and never realized you could just save the game before going out into the world, where you are given the option to remake your character. I still have the save of my FIRST playthough.

As to being a prisoner being repetitive...no its not. The concept of repetitiveness is tied with tiresomness. Why are you tired of being a prisoner? It does not affect gameplay in any way, nor the story, since you are always a nameless hero...so in essence. WHO CARES? Give me the prisoner bit all the time, it doesnt matter. Its tradition, let it be. You change things that are necessary, and this is too small to start a whole debate over it.
