What Should happen when you start the game Create your character and your in jail ?

i think of this

You Wake up There is another prisoner in the same cell
The other Prisoner makes jokes about you and punches you sometime
When The guards are coming he stops making jokes about you and punching you and Say Yessssss i am Free Guards Are Coming For meeeeeeee
Then when you talk to him you can say i think you gonna Die
Guards Are coming And says Stand By the Wall *Your characters name*
One Guard Going to other Prisoner and you see he is getting Executed by one of the guard
A Guard stands in front of you and another guard open a Secret Door
And when its opened you need to follow them

You're saved by Esbern (Forgot spelling) Who is the last of the Blades.

Also, tons of threads on this, use the search bar ;)

Hmm secret passage has been done, wouldn't mind something fresh, even with a comic relief.
Dragon flying by coughs up a furball he had for lunch crashes through roof making a hole you can escape in, furball ofc being M'aiq the liar!

Bah I don't know something funny would be refreshing though :D

aWell it should start with you in a Cell and there should be a super sized Orc with 100 Hand to hand and short blade skill named Bubba Ug Bubbush Bub. Or a female alternative if your a female. She should be equally big and strong. anyway he'll tell you to come over to him and grab u by the arm. and start whaling on you. and you gotta try to run away and he's saying your going to be his girlfriend so your shuffling around the cell and he's tryin to get you on the bed thats when 3 of his buddies jump in it and u get stabbed a few times... the guards break it up but u pass out from being stabbed and they take u to the infirmary. Then the guards let u go and turns out Bubba works for the Blades lol and he stabs u just in the right place so u pass out. then u leave and ur on ur way...

Sarcasm. And better grammar would be nice. It's annoying to read unorganized posts.

This is about as spoilerific as knowing that the Emperor dies within the first 10 minutes of Oblivion

If you've seen concept art, there is a pic of a Nordic executioner with a beheading ax.

Honestly this whole prisoner thing feels horribly repetitive.

That wasn't terribly surprising, though. They probably still used a good third of their voice acting budget on that 10 minutes... ;)

I expect at this point it's sort of become an old stand-in - we've come to expect it. Wouldn't feel like a TES game if you didn't start out humbly.

I wonder if we escape in a cool way this time. In Oblivion you 'escape' but you basically just kind of walked out.

There are so many ways you could start out humbly. You stumble out of your vault. You are your tribe's chosen one. I don't have any problem with starting out humbly, in fact I prefer it, but it's the exact. same. thing. with. every. TES. You are some guy who for some unknown reason is in prison. Todd talks all the time about how he wants to change things up, but either changes the wrong things or recycles some major concept.

its not the exact same thing you start in jail way different ways
in Morrowind you have already served your sentence and you just walk out
in Oblivion you run away through a secret passage
in the other games it was other stuff I need to play them
and starting out is not all that major it takes about 1 hour tops

But it is still the same in the essence in that you were at one point a prisoner. That, never changes.

1. Official reason: Prisoner = no background generated besides the fact that he somehow ended in the prison. Was it justified or not is player's decision
2. Real reason and official reason #2: it is considered a tradition by now... which in a way supports point 1 as well

in Morrowind you have already served your sentence and you just walk out

Actually no... you are released by Emperor's orders as he wanted you to become the Nerevearine in order to further his own goals... not to mention that Vvardanfel itself is a jail at the time: very few are allowed to get out.

I think it would be cool if you started in jail like always, and with the civil war between the Nords of Skyrim, one of the battles starts to flare up around your cell and your cell door gets broken open by a fairly large Nord with a warhammer or a powerful mage spell, you make your escape and then you go off on your adventures.
