You need a "undecided" option.
I'm not sure since the empire have probably changed a lot and I don't really know anything about each side of the conflict.

I'm personally up for a bit of independence. I'm not anti-empire, unification of sorts is useful for trade etc, I just want them to leave more up to local leaders. Decisions that effect a small area shouldn't be tampered in by a central governing body. Much like my real life political views.
