What 4 skills will you focus on the most?

I'm gonna be going for a Khajiit Mage (heck yeah Katia Managan), so:

Destruction
Alchemy
Enchantment
Alteration

Really entirely depends on how things turn out. I ended up being pretty much pure mage in Oblivion and Morrowind just because I hated their melee system and bows were too weak. Also don't know what spell effects are in what schools anymore. The finishers and inability to block w/a spell equipped might kill melee for me, archery looking very good though. So maybe archery, alchemy, sneak, and some form of support magic.

I'll major in alteration and one handed for longsword, with a minor in heavy armor, smithing, and enchanting. For my first character at least.

Apparently you failed math.

As for me:

Heavy Armor

One-Handed Swords

Block

Blacksmith

Who says you have to stick with 4 skills, isn't the freedom of this game being able to specialize in as many as you want?

The same four which are most important to me in Oblivion.

One Handed (Instead of Blade)
Heavy Armour
Block
Smithing (Instead of Armourer)

I usually end up picking Security, Athletics and Restoration as the others but I'm looking forward to being able to do anything.

Not to break your fanasty playtrhough, but maces aren't 2-handed.

In Oblivion (no joke): Mysticism; Acrobatics; Mercantile; Hand to hand; Sneak; Alchemy and Athletics.

IN Skyrim: I don't have a clue.... :nope:

you, Sir, are going to have quite the identity crisis lol.

OT- I'm going to have multiple characters so idk what exactly I'll focus on. prolly have a character for every basic playstyle, then branch off.

One-handed Weapons
Illusion
Light armor

Add to those a few not as important but still in use:

Archery
Destruction
Restoration

Importance in order from top down.

Yeap ! ...

However, Sneak (my favorite) and Alchemy are still in Skyrim, so I suppose is not all bad... Maybe Pickpocket will be interesting to play ...

WHY choose only 4, btw? I mean, It depends of your gameplay, right?

Heavy armor
Smithing
Two-handed
Archery

Since Dual-wielding has been ruined for me because you cannot block or defend yourself at all..

agreed i wish you could block, but i still like the tried and true sword shield one handed stays my main weapon skill of choice

Naw dude, I'm pretty sure they have heavy maces.

Anyway, I like creating class names to go along with custom classes. Its something I'm going to miss from Oblivion and other games.

Nordic Cloud Runner
Light Armor
One Handed - One Handed Axes
Destruction - Only Cold and Lightning attacks
Alteration - Spells to boost speed (Now I know what you guys mean about atheltics)

Breton Cultist
One handed - Daggers
Conjuration - For items and summons
Illusion - For fear, like, and frenzy type spells.
Destruction - For mainly hurt, drain, disintegrate and stat damaging spells.

Argonian Clansman
One Handed - Daggers
Archery
Alchemy
Restoration
