Oh look...it's this thread again. Seriously, though, there is like three other threads in this vein about 5 topics down.
I did not dig for anything. Just posted a suggestion I hear a lot from my friends that play the game a lot.
If it appears that often, means it's a very needed thing.
We're sure there will be mods on the console for it when it comes out. After all, Skyrim SE will have mod support.
I would like sprint jump too. However, that would make Whirlwind Sprint shout somewhat moot
Skyrim remastered should Have Tessellated 3d snow, this is what I am hoping for .
Unfortunateely the aren't any news about other feature that will be implemented. Bethesda is keeping us in total darkness.
yeah right.... first of all there needs to be a mod on PC and then maybe on consoles only if it doesn't use skse which i doubt though without skse its not possible unless some wizard does his/her magic.
yup those deep snow like in god of war trailer but i seriously i doubt it.
You people never learn don't you. You will only get what the Howard factory wants in their games.
I was wondering, while watching Barbell's "Skyrim action" with SkyRE on youtube, that it would be extremely cool if bethesda could add a perk tree for shouts (speechcraft) and, why not, add some new perks to the existing ones.
Does anyone agree?
Here is one of the videos that suggested me this "enhancement":

When I initially read these forums about the time Skyrim was being developed or after I can't remember for sure, but when I heard about a Bard's College, I initially thought that guild might build on the Speechcraft skill, making it somewhat more relevant. Including giving you perks that increase the potency or effectiveness of your shouts.
I hate to seem like I'm raining on the parade, but I honestly think some people are setting their hopes way too high for the Special Edition. From everything we've been shown, it's Skyrim with remastered graphics, mod access for console users, and a 64-bit engine for PC users. If they had actually rebuilt half the game mechanics from the ground up and vastly expanded others, I think they'd be aggressively marketing some of that by now.
Why show off everything and market it.
When you can leave spoilers hidden and let the video gamers experience everything that hasn't been shown off yet when we get to plat The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition?
because its not a "new game". so using "new game marketing techniques" is counterproductive
with new games, you don't say everything thats in it so people can get a sense of discovery
re-releases are another matter entirely.. people will have already played it, discovered all that hidden stuff.. as such, when re-releasing a product, you have to give every possible reason out there as to why they should repurchase a game they already own rather than use their current copy they own..
so yeah, for the case of a re-release its poor marketing to not mention everything that differentiates it from the copy they already own
So is it poor marketing that Todd Howard in his The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition YouTube video, didn't show off that it will at least I hope it does support Physically Based Rendering (PBR)?
only volumetric godrays, improved art and effects was mentioned, and improved snow shaders were mentioned.
then that is most likely all we are getting
I still believe that not everything should be marketed and shown off, even if it's graphics. Not just for content like expansion packs and DLC's.
You've got a good point on that, indeed, but some graphical enhancements are really a little thing. Off course we get a more stable 64bit version of the same game, but in many players hearts Skyrim is not only a game. Skyrim is an experience, an adventure. From my personal point of view, Skyrim is a great, fantastic game, but it has grown... very old. Animations are clunky to say the least. Many environment textures (rocks for example) are terribly low resolution. Magical effects are somehow too simple (visually) and don't leave any aesthetic effects on enemies and environment (burnt corpses, iced waters for example). Cities are really, really empty, with too few inhabitants. Should I add loading screens? Don't hate me, please, bunny! XD.
What I'm trying to say, is that even if logic reasoning is bringing us to expect mainly only what has been shown in the new E3 trailer, everybody loves Skyrim wants MORE than that.
