What if Skyrim was delayed.

Post » Mon Oct 04, 2010 9:10 pm

We all now that these huge epic games we all want from the second it get announced have a tendency to get delayed. So what would you do if Skyrim suddenly was delayed for another 4 months?

If the alternative is another release like New Vegas (Broken game that takes almost two months to semi-fix) then I'm all for a delay.

I managed to wait this long, so I can wait a few months more. Better than having another New Vegas (though I never experienced any problems on PC)

Play one of the other games. Yeah, I hope they don't release it until it's ready.

1. Buy a gun.
2. Put the gun in my mouth.
3. Pull the trigger.
4. Realize I forgot to load the gun.
5. Just wait for Skyrim.

I'd be fine with it, as long as it means that we're getting a better game :)

I'd prefer a delayed finished game, to a on time broken one.

Hmm, let's see. Mass Effect 3, L.A. Noire, Rage, Mortal Kombat, Still playing Halo Reach, and countless other awesome games this year.

I would have plenty to tide me over. I'd prefer a delayed finished game, to a on time broken one.

Meh.

Besides, Petey and The Todd would never do that.

It's going to be delayed. I'm sure of it. I'm expecting it. No big deal, I rather have a late game that is great instead of an on-time game that isn't ready.

I'd be bummed, but would wait. Perhaps not too patiently all the time but for the most part it wouldn't bother me too, too much. The more polish for the game the better, releasing a badly operating game because you know you can simply realease a patch is the most shameful practice that's come out.

I'd be a little dissappointed that I have to wait longer than I expected, but I'd deal with it, there are other games I can play other then Skyrim, I'd just play those until it's released. In any case, if it does get delayed, I'm sure it will be for a reason. Probably because Bethesda realized they needed more time then they thought to get the game ready for release, and if that's the case, then I'd rather wait a few more months to get the game the developers intended to make than get it at the intended release date but with game breaking bugs or cut content.

No big deal, I've been waiting this long. Plus, I doubt it would be delayed. Especially when they come right out and say they are releasing it on 11/11/11. That's bold enough for me to believe that's when it'll come out.

If Skyrim gets delayed, good. That just means they aren't ready to release their product without making sure it's up to their standards. It lets me know that they aren't just going to pop it out as soon as possible with bugs or unpolished features. I've waited this long, I can wait longer. I'm more concerned about a good product instead of getting to play as soon as possible.

If they delay it, it will be for good reason. Plus, there's Witcher 2 coming, so no big deal.

To be honest, I`d be disappointed yes, but with all the upcoming games this year... ME3, DAO2, The Witcher 2 etc. I think there will be enough to keep me happily gaming.
God knows how many times i`ve replayed through ME1, ME2 and DAO2..not to mention Oblivion..eek.
