What's something nice you've done today?

Post » Fri Apr 08, 2011 7:51 am

Some girl was stuck in a ditch on the side of the high way. So I pulled over on the side of the road and helped her out. It's kind of pathetic how people are. So many people just drove by her and didn't even bother offering to help or see if anyone was hurt.

Well, i didn't call my mom a [censored], so I guess that would count, yes? I'm not a nice person.

What did I do nice today? I didn't tell a guy to go ahead and invest his money in a toothbrush and mouthwash, instead of the tool I was trying to sell him.

At work, I helped someone with their job because it was becoming too much for him.

People have their own agendas, which supersede strangers they do not know. Not to mention, stopping on the side of the highway is a pain in the ass, can be time consuming, and most people aren't grateful for the help you give. I wouldn't go judging people, based on them not stopping to help someone. If we paid attention to every single person who needed help, we wouldn't have time to work, eat, or sleep.

On topic, I managed not to go knock on my neighbours door and say "TURN DOWN YOUR [censored] MUSIC".
I Felt like that was something nice.

I stayed at home until precisely 1:50 PM, at which time I went to find out the location of my classes. I then returned home one hour, 5 minutes later. In doing so there is the distinct possibility that I saved all of your lives, as if I did anything different it could have set forth a series of events leading to the ultimate demise of the world.

You're welcome.

I did a few nice things today, but it was mainly for my family. And most of these nice things only happened when my family figured out that I was taking the day off to visit my grandpa and show him a thing or two about his computer.

This lead to me picking up my sister from highschool, and then dropping off some library books, and then getting potatoes for my mom, and then dropping them off, and then when i was to leave i had to drop my brother to his girl friends house.

I actually had some work to do tonight, so it put me back a couple of hours. I got some digestive cookies out of it?

I wish I had some tea...

I did not kick the miniature remote control car this brat was playing on a busy street with people walking everywhere. Accidental +karma because someone else was blocking my way.

It's 8:21am.

I kissed my girlfriend on the back as I got out of bed. I don't think she really appreciated it - she probably just wanted me to piss off so she could go back to sleep.

Just woke up so nothing much - did give my bf some cash for the vending machine at work, so that counts I suppose. I promise to work extra hard today to earn my brownie points though :)

Did you find out how she managed to get stuck in the first place? O_o

I guess driving my older brother into town to get a drink counts as nice. It was his truck, and he bought the drink himself, but I could have refused. I did have to give up watching whatever it was on Discovery Channel that I wanted to watch. Something to do with bad stuff happening to the earth. His license has been suspended.
I spend nearly all of the day alone, it's hard to do nice things for people when you don't see anyone til about 5 pm.

I didn't punch one of my lecturers who was squaking in my ear incredibly loudly about Microsoft Excel for half an hour. :flame:

At work I needed the bathroom so i went to the one at the supermarket.Because it was 36 degrees celsius and we were working in the sun, sweat dripping off our faces I bought me and my co-worker a bottle of cold coca-cola.

My friend broke up with her boyfriend a few days ago, and hasn't been coming to classes since. I woke up a few hours early this morning and went to her house, brought her a cup of her favorite coffee, talked it over and got her out of the house.

I've said "please" and "thank you very much" to a stranger. Does that count?

I just made my cranky, grouchy, accident prone injured husband a nice hot pot of tea. He's miserable. :( He's also stuck inside until he heals.
I told him the other day, in the middle of one of his frustrated rants, that if he were an X-man, he'd be known as Mr Pissy.
Me, I am going in to work later, I can escape the madness.

That's really quite sweet. It gives me hope for humanity when I read things like that. :)
