What spec gaming rig will you be using to play TESO on?

Post » Tue Feb 18, 2014 2:28 pm

i5 2500K

8 GB RAM

GTX 670

I played with pretty much everything on ultra settings. I didn't actually check FPS (I'll try to remember to do that next time), but I never noticed any stuttering.

Oh, and on the SSD- I haven't tried ESO on it, but I've tried other games, and really never noticed any difference over the mechanical drive. Makes a huge differences with how well Windows 7 responds, though.

I think its down to current Intel offerings quite outweigh AMDs alternatives. IIRC the only thing currently AMD has going for it is price!

Oh dear, when will people learn MMORPGs are designed to be played on a PC not some poxy games console /sigh

Nah for me its good because I don't have the time or knowledge to upgrade or the money to buy a good computer above 600 to run eso on max settings. My main concern was the player base but after checking a good amount of stores in my areas such as gamestop, walmart and target, pc has the most preorder in some stores while xbox one second and ps4 surprisngly third. Also a lot of my friends, cousins and brother willbe getting it for xbox one so don't really have much of a good choice XD on top of that I prefer playing on a xbox controller and a led big tv. To add some more there will be less "hard core" players who max their characters increasing my chances to be emperor compare to playing it with mmo veterans in pc. However I wish my pc cousins good luck and good game and may ebonheart pact win! Haha

Lower upfront cost but higher in the long run. I recommend you add a keyboard to the box nonetheless, helps communicating. =)

My Computer.. built it a lil over a year ago...

Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

Processor: Intel® Core™ i7-2600K CPU @ 3.40GHz (8 CPUs), ~3.4GHz

Memory: 16384MB RAM

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti 2-Gig

SSD HD 84gig/111gig available

With the SSD... games run extremely fast... also have an external 1TB HD for storage and other games

that is not the main game i'm playing.... I will install ESO on the SSD

Also have a logitech gaming mouse, and a MW3 COD Keyboard with the G1-6 keys on side.. hope I can use those with ESO...

I should upgrade the video card... but it's fine.. and have another one.. but with 1gig on backup computer... just in case main one blows up... lol

Yeah I am planning on using my current xbox keyboard the connects to the botton of my 360 controller for the xbox one, if that doesn't work then I hope they have or release one soon. Its quite comfortable and easy. I am also hoping you can chat with turtles beaches headset. Once I had them couldn't go back to tv speakers lol. I just hope a lot of people dont drop after the first free month especially on xbox one since we have to have gold which I get anyways because I play other multiplayers game and use youtube, internet, etc but some people would prefer to play only eso and single player games, I have seen it before so I feel bad for them because they won't like the fact of being forced to get gold to play eso. Let's just hope the game does well for all consoles and we all have a good time :) I will order imperial edition tommorow for xbox one so zenimax don't let me down, I support you guys.

i5 3570k @ 4Ghz

Windforce 3 Radeon 7950 Slightly overclocked

16GB RAM

256Gb SSD

Never noticed any frame drops on above Ultra settings. Was actually quite impressed during beta at performance.

Doesn't the new box have usb ports? If that's the case you can always use normal a wireless keyboard if your old one doesn't work.

Yeah it does but I prefer having the one that attach to the controller for easy access. Though I have seen some very nice keyboard with green neon lights at best buy so might give it a try :)

OMG lol, the sad thing is i ust to sell those damn things lol. My first was a c64 with a huge boat anchor floppy and a tape drive, i remember spending about 6 hours of typing in basic code to make a balloon float up and down across the screen lol. Course then i upgraded to a trs 80 then to an amiga 2000 and then an ibm at/xt o man were those the days lol.

will be using my current rig

Intel i7-3960x

16 gigs of ram

7970 vid card

The thing is annoying though when playing, it sounds like a helicopter the whole time and i have the cpu water cooled... :(
