Nothing too fancy here. I haven't played Morrowind in a long time, and I was digging through some archived pictures when I found the below. I can't even remember whether I made the ring that cast that spell in the construction set or whether I had it enchanted, but whatever it was... it was big. And it looked like below, and I have no clue what the hell that spell is. Anybody have any ideas?

It looks a bit like a bunch of absorb effects going off at once to me.

Drain magicka or something? Whatever it is, it looks like he reflected it.

It's definitely a damage spell. I know that I never fought anything that I hit more than twice with it.

Man... am I really going to have to reinstall Morrowind just to find out what the hell that thing is? It might be all kinds of elemental damage attacks at once, but I really thought it might have been absorb health.

None of the damage effects look like that, but I know that Absorb Fatigue looks like a more basic version of what's going on in the picture. Assuming that all absorb effects have the same animation and that that attack did damage as you said, it could be Absorb Health. The extra complexity could come from you firing off 2-3 shots from your ring in quick succession so different parts of the animation all show at once because of the 2-3 hits starting at slightly different times.

Definitively a Mysticism spell.

beat me to the punch. i had a large AoE soultrap spell on a daedric war axe that looked a lot like that.

So it appears the mystery spell from the picture was an area of effect mysticism spell of some sort. Since you said it was doing damage I'm still leaning towards Absorb Health.
