What sponsors will Crysis 2 have?

Post » Wed Feb 18, 2009 3:29 pm

Every game that has nvidia advertise is raising my ATI graphic card temperature to arround 100'C (212F), because nvidia puts code into the game that does damage to ATI graphic cards by making it slower, so I prefer not to have nvidia as a sponsor. Same story with Intel raping AMD's processors! So please let Crysis 2 have no sponsors!

haha - so your accusing a major company of illegal activities. *claps*. Its a little late to talk about sponsors - they will have had the deals in place for a while now. Its not as though the game has just been announced - its nearing release.

You guys are pretty ignorant.
He was not only asking to remove nVidia as a sponsor but also which ones apply.
I’d like to see some evidence of nVidia putting code in games (well, that’s not that realistic), but it’s obvious, also with some other games, that often when nVidia is the branding and the game/engine is optimized for only one vendor, it’s not as optimized for the other. Which is a bit sad.

NVidia as a sponsor is mainly marketing for nVidia and more money for the dev. AFAIK…

Its just means that the game may run better on their cards - not that it will sabotage another card. Could just be that you have a under-par card and your trying to run crysis?

I have a ATI 4890 HD and run it Very High Spec at about 45 degrees.

optimizing the game for nvidia cards may also reduce performance on ati cards because of the architecture and technology difference in ati products.
some people may call that sabotage...
its just business. i think ati should try and support more software developers, now that their hd5000 series is doing so well, compared to fermi. last game that i know has ati and amd logos on it is STALKER call of pripyat, and that game runs well even on laptops with cheap ati gpus. =)

If you ask me - That is sobotage, those guys who thinks they'r right and critisize me are simple minded, living in a (mostly rich) society wich obtrude them by advertises and money. It was not long ago when AMD discovered that Intel c++ compiler has codes that make AMD CPU's slower!
