What am i supposed to do now? I'm in whiterun what should i do :S i dont know what to do. im new to elder scrolls and its my type. sandbox etc i can do what i want but WHAT AM I GOING TO DO NOW?

you told the guard at the entrance to the city something that should give you an idea about what to do.

Check you quest log by pressing the start button.

That's the beauty of "Elder Scrolls" games.

The choice is yours.

Think about what you might want to do.

Are you desperate to get to the bottom of why Dragons are re-appearing in Skyrim?

Go see the Jarl.

Are you just pleased to finally be free to make your own decisions and choices?

Then do what you like.

Go to the Quest Section of the User Interface (Pause screen) and look at your current quests.

You can highlight the 1 or bunch you'd like to do and then highlight the location to visit on your map.

You get a little marker telling you where to go (and if you think that's too easy, turn it off).

Explore. Talk to people. When you hear about somethig you might be interested in seeing or doing... go do it.

Yup, you can go anywhere and do any quest you want or just explore and completely ignore the main quest. However, if you want to start fighting Dragons and using shouts, I would suggest doing the first few main quests. These can be started by talking to the Jarl of Whiterun.

For me to love these games the most I figure out what I like to do the most which is just do every quest possible, but I also throw in some exploring and delving in caves in the game play. Also I like to chill in the towns every now and then and act like I have lived there my whole life and such. So just figure out what you like and do it. Just don't over-do it.

Sometimes just walking into a dungeon can start a small quest or adventure. Just look for something that catches your fancy and walk that way. You'll be surprised at what falls in your path. And then of course there is always the loot..

Imagine its really you in the game in the town, what do you fancy doing? go explore the shops, chat to people, just do what ever takes your fancy.

Just remember to save alot.And then save again.And then once more for good measure.You'll thank me later :biggrin:

LOL You're not alone there, Skyrim's my first Elder Scroll game too, but I guess I just do what the objective tells me and pick up what I need to do from there (now I'm so addicted to this game). Guarantee you're gonna enjoy this game so much because you can do the hell you want in Skyrim, no one can tell you what to do.

Anything you damn well please, just make sure to have fun.

Start slow, don't let the game accumulate quests, and do what you feel like you want to do. Easy as that

Yes thats ok, the world is there for you to explore.
Just be careful at low level, you will be weak compared to the enemies.
Some large cities also offer carriage rides to other places.

Talk to people, pick up a few quests, find one you like and go do it.
Explore a bit.
