What system will you be buying Skyrim for?

Post » Sat Jun 19, 2010 9:34 am

Yes I'm sure, (now) I actually hadn't thought of checking until now :whistling: but CPUz confirmed that my memory is indeed running at 1600mhz

Heh, you're lucky. I screwed it up when I bought my actual PC, and my precious DDR2 1066 modules are running at a crappy 800 ??. If I try to put them at their original speed, my BIOS automatically revert them back at the 3rd or 4th reboot :P

I don't want to happen that again, so that's why I'm being so careful about this.

I have no choice, Im not wealthy, I play on xbox.

Im just really happy that it will be available for 360 and not the generation after that, because then I would have had to save for a long time before I could afford it + Skyrim.

I would have, in the end. Got my 360 just for oblivion:)

I will probably buy it for the Xbox first so I can get a good vanilla game in first. I spent a good 200 hrs + on console oblivion. Once I get bored of the console version I'll get it on PC and mod the heck out of it.

Yeah... I think I am going to get the PC version on Steam. The PS3 version would take time to arrive here, so I'd rather pre-download the night before release so I can come home and play it right away. I might get the PS3 version later though, if the game runs bad on PC that is, but I doubt it will.

On the PC, because it'll most likely or hopefully have a construction set.

I'm getting it for Xbox, but when the price drops I'm probably going to get a PC version for the construction set. I always say that I'm going to make an epic mod. It goes well, at first... :brokencomputer:

PC here. I originally bought Oblivion for Xbox 360, then at a much later date, computer. Mods really made the game for me.

I got the "three rings of death" error on my last xbox 360. I just bought the xbox 360 slim. And I am ready to go!

For 360,

all I have is a labtop.

But I'm saving up......some day.

But if i get lucky I'll try it at my cousin's for PC.

With my 360 hardrive running out of space and Skyrim 10 months away, I'll get it for PC.

I hate console vs PC wars so I'll say I wont care what you get it for!

360 and PC. That's how I have always done it before with elder scrolls, although this may be an exception with me getting PC first and only. If I get the PC version it will be on steam, if the game has a nice CE, I will get that on xbox.

Unless it is a steamworks game, in which case I will buy the CE PC version on disk and then link it to steam.

A labtop!? That has to be crazy... Does it have working test tubes and alchemical ingredients? :P I with my laptop was a labtop.

Seriously though, I'll be getting it for my Xbox 360 as I would much prefer to play it in sweet 1080p HD instead of on low and not even in full screen on my laptop. Plus, I need my achievements! Once I build a desktop I'll pick up the goty so I can play around with the CS.

I'm probably buying the 360 version first since recent trends in Fallout indicate they get all the DLC first. Then i'll buy PC version later. Unless I hear otherwise.

Xbox 360. My laptop might be able to run it pretty well, it is a 2010 Toshiba A665. But I prefer consoles, I don't know why, I just like having the controller.

Why is it so hard to believe that his 360 actually runs games on higher graphics setting than his PC? I'd day that is the case for most people.

 uh.......even a cheap PC more than equals and xbox........and an $800 dollar PC is far superior to a console. so unless their PC is 4 years old and has never been upgraded its gonna be better than a console. consoles are primitive by todays standards. we have gone through 3 or 4 different generations of graphics cards with each generation being more than twice as powerful as the previous generation. add on to that the increase in CPU power and larger memory etc. consoles simply cant compete on any level anymore. with recent releases they have even lost the one advantage they used to have.....less buggy releases and in fact PCs get their patches sooner than consoles. their is literally no reason to buy a console anymore except for portability.

this is approximately what the inside of a PS3 or 360 looks like. http://dl.maximumpc.com/galleries/25oldpcs/Kenbak-1_02_full.jpg

My home laptop, new this summer, should last a few more years which is when I'd purchase the game.

Not saying PC cuz I'm old :P
