@Nebisk: That's exactly what I did with Morrowind.

If this doesn't get closed, I'll eat my shoes.

You have one day to take out the shoelaces. If this is still here in one day, I expect before and after pics.

I would do this, but I can't stand having to wait until the GOTY edition so I can start using mods.

On the PC, because it'll most likely or hopefully have a construction set.

PC, of course. I'm already saving money to buy a new one in October, with a planned minimum of:

- 6-Core AMD Phenom II CPU, 3,2 ghz per core.

- 12 GBs DDR3 1333.

- Nvidia Geforce GTX 570-580 (aiming for 580, hopefully prices get dropped by October), 1,5 gbs GDDR5.

That hopefully will run Skyrim smoothly at 1680x1050, and maybe more :)

PC, as if that was even a question.

(And why in the name of eternal optimism is there even a Mac option?)

If this doesn't get closed, I'll eat my shoes.

I suggest you grab some salt and meat tenderizer.

And just like Spectre IV, I want pictures. :D

Hopefully? Hah, this will one any game at the highest settings for like 2-3 years.

I am keeping my 4gb DDR3 RAM and my GTS250. I doubt Skyrim recommended settings will require more than that.

PC. In OB I bought for PS3 first and when GOTY came out for PC, which is great because by then lots of awesome mods were already avaible...but I probably will only buy PC cause hopefully will build a new PC in the next summer / fall since I only have my 2 year old laptop right now and I want to play TES V Maxed Out

Heh, I hope more than 2-3 years. Especially when I plan to buy an SLI-enabled motherboard (if they aren't too expensive), and add a second/(third?) 580 when they drastically drop their price.

sounds fairly similiar to mine. So far it's been able to play every single game I've bought perfectly... so Skyrim shouldn't be a problem. I am however considering upgrading to 8 gb ddr

I have been moving more towards the console this past year. To the point where I now buy most of my games for the PS3. But I dont think I could possibly do that with a TES game. So I will be picking it up for the PC.

Jeez, I wish computer parts here on Brazil were about the same price there, a GTX580 here is about $1200. Damn, you gotta have money to build such a powerful rig.

I almost want to buy it for consoles just because my PC is an ancient piece of crap: a steady 10 FPS and crashes after every other load screen don't exactly consummate an enjoyable play experience.

But no. I was going to get a new PC as it is. Mods! PC gaming master race!

You should change the voting system to boxes, because I am going to buy it for both the Xbox (graphics) and PC (mods).

Seriously?

Honestly, the 360 version of Oblivion looked like the PC version on medium, and with pretty short render distances: http://tamrielchronicles.com/screenshots/OblivionX25.JPG
