What system will you be purchasing TESV for?

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 1:52 am

PC, if I ever scraqe up the money to buy a new one. My laptop is literally held together with tape so I need another computer anyway.

PC it may cost me a bit more but i believe it to have much more replayability with the mods and all. Also of course i am a fan of the good ol' keyboard and mouse.

I just sunk $3000 into an i7 system... Will most likely sink another $3K into a new rig mid next year, should be more than enough for Skyrim!

I bought a new PC especially to run Oblivion and now I'm worried that it won't run Skyrim on the max settings! I may have to sell this computer and buy myself a £1000 gaming rig.

Unless I somehow find myself able to spend hundreds (or upwards of a thousand) dollars to get a new PC, I'll be getting it on the 360.

Even though I've got until November, I still probably won't be able to afford a computer - so I'll be getting it for the 360.

I'd like to point out the obvious fail in the original question. It should be: what system will you purchase for TESV?

And I'm undecided :) I'm pondering between PS3 and updating pc to the max...

They have only announced the game, not the platform, you are just assuming it's for PC.
And chances are that IF they chose to only release the game for PC, that this will be the last TES, since sales will then be a fraction of Oblivions if they do not release it for 360 and PS3 as well, so they won't make enough money to get a return on their investments.

Its either 360 or PC but if they do what they did with New Vegas and have you deal with Steam then I'll pass on the PC version and go with the 360 version.

PC for me. I assume (hope) that my system will be able to handle it without any trouble. It hasn't met a game yet it hasn't stomped all over. (...Well, except Metro 2033. It can run it fine, but not at "optimal" levels. Grumble DX11 mumble.)

The Xbox 360 since I have no choice in the matter. I don't own a computer, but if I could I would much rather own it on the computer but alas *Sigh*

Ive been thinking of doing the same. Buying a new rig next year I mean.

I'll have to see how it goes but as long as I'm still employed ( :D ) I'll definitely be spending a nice wad of cash on a supreme gaming rig of unfathomable power.

Definitely PC: mods, construction set, the ability to overcome bugs & glitches with a few console commands... plus graphics hardware on the PC is pretty robust these days.

Gonna fix me up with some SLi this christmas, should be enough to handle the game seeing as I bought this rig a few months ago.

Any other system isn't relevant, I stuck with Oblivion for the mods and since we still have Gamebryo I assume mods will still exist.

If I can scape enough money together to buy a pc, then I will get it on that. Otherwise my 360 will have to do.

I wish my PC was that good... Heck it can barely support MW2. Guess it's 360 :/
