What system will you be purchasing TESV for?

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 11:13 am

I am reviewing this thread and editing or deleting some posts. :stare:

Most of you have been fine and been able to talk about why you are playing on whatever platform without feeling the need to bash another platform, for which I thank you. For those of you who can't seem to state a preference without dinging someone else's preferences, you can end up with a warning. So learn to discuss platforms without bashing others, or risk the ban-claw. Or at the very least, the warn-claw.

If I can muster up the cash in order to upgrade my PC enough so I don't run the game at 10 FPS, I'll get it for PC; if I can't get enough money for the PC and uber-collector's edition I'll just buy it for my 360.

If I buy it, it will be on PC. The big question is, how well will it separate to its benefit from its recent and to be rivals (like The Witcher 2, for one example).

I'll buy it on 360, just like I did for Morrowind(XBox) and Oblivion, I'm a console gamer and a Mac user, so I can't really get it for PC anyway.

I just hope my 360 will hold on. :whistling:

360 first and once I upgrade my PC again and the mod start pouring out, PC. I've done that with Morrowind, Oblivion, and Fallout 3.

Since I have a 360, and that's the only thing in the house that can use it, I'll be buying it on that. Collectors edition if available, of course.

PC version. Assuming the requirements are reasonably similar to those of other modern games and not super high I should be able to run it at max settings without any problem.

360 because my PC won't probably be able to run it.

PC for me.

Probably going to save up some money for a new video card depending on how Skyrim compares to Oblivion graphically.

I'm so glad I built myself a new PC a couple of months ago. I'm fairly confident it'll be able to handle Skyrim with no problems. I shouldn't have to do more than add a bit more RAM, at worst.

I'll preorder it for the 360, and then when GOTY comes out I'll get it for PC.

PC, of course.

Why should I buy castrated version of a game if a better version is available for even less the money?

Depends on my financial situation near the games release. I would just be starting my first year of College and if at the time I have found a job I should be able to justify building a new PC that can handle Skyrim, if I do not have the money than I will do what I did with Oblivion, purchase originally on the 360 wait a year and buy for the PC.

If Best Buy lets me stay on past the season then I will definitely have the money to build a new PC and buy Skyrim when it comes out.

Wii.

They call it a powerhouse for a reason.

But really though, 360. I'm not a huge fan of spending exorbitant amounts of money on upgrades, and I can deal with the vanilla game.

360 as my PC will run it at the speed of an arthitic slug with asthma and I can't afford a new PC just for each new ES, even if it is tempting

I'm a PC player.

Plus, my computer's getting everything upgraded around christmas time, so I'll actually have a chance of running new games smoothly.

PlayStation 3 for me, I have a Xbox 360 too, but the loading screens and landscape lagging in Oblivion, made me switch.

I plan on building a new desktop computer from scratch over the next year or so, so likely the PC. However, if this falls through then it will be on the 360.

PC, if mine can run it. If it can't, i'll upgrade it. If i can't afford it, i have a PS3 as a backup plan, and later buy it for PC :D

Most definitely PC. I can run Fallout 3 and New Vegas on max settings with a smooth framerate, and I don't see TESV being that much more demanding. If something catastrophic happens to my PC, I'll buy it for the PS3.

PC of course. Mainly because of controls and graphics.

I have already built a high end PC for TES V. But i'll keep making it better till 11.11.11 for better Skyrim experience :)

What i need now is a 22-24" LED monitor with higher contrast and DVI output because my current 20" VGA LCD svcks a$$. This is my top priority.

Secondly i'm gonna pair my ASUS 6870 with its twin.

For the last i'm going to buy a decent headset. Cretive Fatal1ty seems to fit in my budget, offering the highest quality in that price range. They'd make a good team with my Creative Titanium Fatal1ty Champion sound card. :)
