What is taking so long with the interview?!?

Post » Tue Jun 28, 2011 5:26 am

Seirously, that sort of thing should take maybe a week at worst to answer and post here. Why has it taken so long?

EDIT: Wait, I mean fan interview, or fan questions or whatever it's called.

1. They are developing a game too.
2. It's quite a few questions of which they have to decide what they can and can't answer
3. It isn't a priority for them
4. Yes it's taken longer than I expected.

Maybe they looked at all the questions, realised that certain things stood out as being real concerns / wishes shared by a lot of fans, and decided to make changes to the game before giving definitive answers.

...or maybe that's just me being incredibly optimistic.

Anyway, I still think we'll see it before July. Or early July at the very latest... so be patient. In this instance, no news probably means good news.

Probably a lot of questions that are being answered. Oblivion's Q/A sticky is a good sample for what you can expect.

Edit: I just realized the Q/A sticky is actually more for Shivering Isles, but it's close enough...

They will release it when they think that the game needs more media attention. It's a strategic decision.

My problem witht the fans questions is that they were asked before E3 so there are loads of things fans will want to know that haven't even been asked as details about certain things weren't revealed until after the closing date for the fans questions.

@Sheogorath88 I wish I could share your optimism

The devs are "crunching," and when they get a spare moment, the last thing they'll want to do is answer questions about the game. Skyrim's always going to have priority over a community thing like this, and happy devs are productive devs. I expect Gstaff and Breckon are toiling under a strict "don't bother the devs" clause. :P

That's my assumption, anyway. Anyone else's guess is as good as mine. I can't imagine we have much longer to wait for the Q&A.

Honestly, as long as 11.11.11 brings a nice big new world for me to romp around in then the developers can go radio silent for the next four months for all I care. Questions will be answered upon loading up the game.

If they get around to it though... a few new tidbits would not go amiss ^^

I reckon Devs are crunching.
They took a lot of feedback - not all good, I imagine - from the E3 showcase.

I demand kindly request new screens to stall us all.

Beths are procrastinating. Or they can't answer the questions since it will ruin the sales. Yay.

E3 was harder for them than they thought. Give the guys a break. Making good games and keeping in schedule is hard enough without the constant yelling of few too info hungry fans. :)

Probably correct about the strategic marketing maneuver. They're waiting awhile after all the "excitement" of E3.

I'm really hoping they reward us with an Argonian screen for being so patient.

I would like to see the male and female varients of the beast races as well as the Khajiit and Argonain children. Should be interesting

all i want is for them to make the game as stable as possible, so it doesnt have to be on life support the minute i start it up, like fallout 3.

i hardly got anywhere in that game before it started breaking down on me... so i want bethesda to put everything they have into making skyrim stable and keep freezing to a minimum, if not non-existent.

if they can pull that off, they can keep us in the dark for the rest of the year for all i care.

They're going to wait exactly one week from the last post date in one of these 'Where's the Q&A' threads, then release it.

Really, I have no idea. Also, my mind keeps adding an 'r' to the end of your name. I giggle when I see your posts. I'm so mature. >_<

As long as they speak of Werewolves in the Q&A, I can wait. I tried to search for when they said it should come out, does anyone know specifics? I know many are saying around July..

Bethesda is figuring out several ways of saying "We can't talk about that right now". That's why it's taking so long, duh.

I'm assuming there'll be a lot of "can't answer that currently" anyway. I don't anticipate much new info.
