WHAT IF? ThalmerStormcloak edition!

Post » Thu May 30, 2013 4:31 pm

What IF we swtiched the roles here. Thalmor are innocent mer just fighting for their right to worship Auri-El. Stormcloaks are promoting Mannish supremacy is the only truth, and Auri-El is a heresy.

WHAT IF?

Would you side with the Stormcloaks if they were identical to the current Thalmor and the Thalmor were identical to the current Stormcloaks?

Do you believe in religious freedom?

Would you want revenge if Numidium ravaged Skyrim, slaughtering thousands of Nords and Tiber Septim was an Aldmeri Warlord?

WHAT IF???

Discuss.

I would side with the thalmor, I already sympathies with their cause, but not with their means. Trouble is, the Aldmeri Dominion cant be seen as it truly is, because of the thalmor.

(The aldmeri are really the elvish version of the Septim empire, the Thalmor just distort the picture).

yeah, yeah religious freedom is good. And if the elves were being all peaceful with their heretical then leave them be. Although if they had unleashed the numidium on mankind...well no, pointless revenge is still wrong

Although what would the elves had used to power walk-brass, its not like they'd have anyway to power it

Haha, But yeah, the Thalmor are trying to reach enlightenment, but with the way they are doing it, they will never reach true enlightenment. At least that is my take on it.

I also wish to point out, it seems in the world of the elder scrolls, all religions are acurate

Aye, which is strange because each religion contrasts each other

We should start with the Mannish relics from Atmora, and Honor Meridia in the process

I've already pointed that qoute to several people. Not only are you preaching to the choir, but it is also utterly irrelevant to this hypothetical.

Perhaps you'd like to share your poll selections?

Openly speaks out against their own creation.
Doesn't give us a DLC to fight them.

Wait, why would Stormcloaks suppress Auri-el worship when it's basically Akatosh?

Because thalmor supporters will come up with any idiotic reason to dislike anyone anti-thalmor

They are separate entities. The Marukhati Selectives attempted to severe the two causing a Dragon Break.

I have no idea what a dragon break actually is, save that it's used to change things radically just cause.

its when a certain Event breaks time, making it go from a Linear form into more of a branching arc If i recall.

the name "Dragon Break" Refers to Time (as Akatosh is "The Dragon God of Time") being broken in some form

Auri-El is about as similar to Akatosh as Alduin is.
