What is that!? (Mobster spotted holding a Thompson?)

Post » Fri Nov 27, 2015 8:48 am

@14:36 to 14:37 of the Fallout 4 E3 Showcase.

I cannot figure it out, the only thing that appears to be a humanoid holding weapon with one arm. It almost looks like a statue, but it would be a odd statue, in a odd place.

Again, @ 14:36 to 14:37, pause it, and tell me what you see.

I would flip if Bethesda put mobsters in the game like from Fallout 2 New Reno. My imagination could be getting the best of me, but that does appear to be a humanoid holding a weapon (a Tommy Gun) wearing a suit.

Your input on this appreciated.

Gangsters, androids, ghoul pirates, aliens, green orcs, scrapyard bandits and space armor units.

Fallout 4 seems like it's going to be quite a wild ride.

Could be a member of the Synth Retention Bureau. Definitely fits that style.

Fingers crossed.

I want a Thompson for Close Quarters, a BAR for mid range heavy take downs, and an M1 for long range(specifically one that makes that ping sound when it ejects the clip).

I found something, I don't who runs this site, it does have a nice layout though.

"There is a 20% chance that the Mysterious Stranger will appear during V.A.T.S combat wielding a tommy gun"

I can't get it to link directly to the quote,

http://vault111.com/character/

Instructions: When you go to the link, click on "PERKS", then click on Mysterious Stranger.

I am like almost certain it is a place holder, or just fake all together, but I really don't know.

EDIT: Oh my gyash, I already debunked it, its fake I am almost certain. Reading the Notes, the person in Scollay Square I can tell you is highly unlikely the Mysterious Stranger, but is definitely a android, which is old news. With that said those Mysterious Stranger Ranks are place holders or they are made up all together. The android could still be the Mysterious Stranger, I am not denying that, but the tommy gun? I have not found anything that for sure confirms a tommy gun in F4 yet.

It's speculation. Take just about everything you read there with a handful of salt.

That is a pure speculation.

And actually we have seen a Thompson, or at least a Thompson look alike (more based on the military version rather then the iconic civilian version used by the mafia), it pops up all over the place in the atom bomb baby combat/music clip.

Well their is at least one gun that somewhat in a way resembles a Thompson in the F4 gameplay trailer your talking about, I mean I guess. Their is no such thing as a civilian Thompson either, but I know what your probably referring to, 1920's chicago typewriter style Tommy Gun, but they did use drums in WWII on the Thompson's, you didn't see it very often, but they did use them.

I guess their is probably not going to be any real life gun model in Fallout 4, going off Fallout 3 and the F4 gameplay trailer. Their will be resemblances, but it won't be like New Vegas, where you had next to real life gun models.

I think having an old-timey mobster would make a lot of sense, it's kind of a classic Boston trope. I predicted we'd see such characters even before seeing this clip (based on their use of other famously Bostonian concepts like the minutemen/newspaper), but I don't know that it confirms things one way or another.

One of my characters will be a 1920's style gangster. Too much Boardwalk Empire lately, oi.

I like the way you think about this franchise. Add a 1911, 30-06 ammo for the M1 and BAR (not .308), and we're golden.

He looks flat in comparison to other things. Probably just an alien android sent to take over the Earth.

It's the cardboard cutout of Ted Danson that everyone thought was a ghost of a kid who died on the set of Three Men and a Baby..
